    Default Worst officiating NBA or NFL

    For all the complaints about the NFL, I don't think it's even close. NBA officiating is downright awful. They have no common sense on when to swallow the whistle.

    Two examples tonight in the Phoenix game. Both teams had bad calls against them all night. But these two stood out. SA down 79-74, Ginoboli takes a deep 3 with the shot clock winding down. Nash barely touches him after the shot. Foul called. 3 free throws.

    Next trip, Duncan misses an inside show, and AFTER the Suns get the rebound, the ref calls a foul.

    It seems the NBA especially in light of current developments but the NFL is the champion of this showdown. Even with instant replay they still continue to be UNDOUBTEDLY incorrect on multiple calls in EVERY contest. NFL errors are the NBA equivalent of a dunk being declared a 3-pointer by the referee.

    NBA and it's not even close.

    The NFL has taken every step possible to increase the accuracy of the calls, year in and year out. I know the feelings on instant replay are mixed. But the NFL has steadily improved their process, whereas the NBA almost seems to be getting worse! I won't watch the NBA anymore after watching Wade getting no-touch fouls throughout the Finals last year.

    NBA is horshit, I think it would be very valuable to evaluate referees styles in the NBA and contrast that with the styles of the teams playing in the NBA. It would take a lot of work, but I think it would pay off extremely well.

    No, it does not pay off extremely well and there is no need for anybody to pursue this activity. It is more than a waste of time. It will leave you broke and homeless. Do not do it or you could end up like IMGV.

    NBA. It's hard to blame the officials in a way because it's hard to officiate basketball as the pace is so intense. Put yourself in their shoes
