Default Seeing as Europe is now the biggest supplier of trolls that post at SBR

Is there any way for us to "killfile" (a usenet term) someone who's messages you don't want to see?

This would be a nice feature.

There is indeed, betplom. Called the 'ignore feature' in this vBulletin software.

Find the user you wish to ignore, either by clicking on their ID down at the bottom of the main page in the Who's Online block or surfing through the Members List. Once you do that you will see several options just below the user's name, including one that reads, "Add ?????? to Your Ignore List."

Great feature; only wish I could employ it myself sometimes

I think some Europeans deal with a large case of penis envy towards the US. Some clown is predicting the Euro as the global monetary unit and the US to have a period worse than the Great Depression. At some point, you just stop taking them seriously.

O say, can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight
O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Well the US at some point will go through a time worse then the depression... For some that time has come as MANY Americans are losing their homes and many more will join after they reset the rates this fall.... The adjustable people are going to get F*CK HARD and the investors who thought at the time "interest only" or adjustable loans for flipping some sh*t house was a good idea is also going to get one pumped in his ass.... Buying a house is a gamble and people are going to find that out the HARD WAY!!!

I think you're just seeing the reality of the world reputation of the US nearing an all-time low.

BTW Razz: Did you see the 4(!) kits Spurs are launching next year?

Part A: And I can see why, frankly. I still don't understand some of the posts in the other thread, but I guess that's it.
Part B: Yes, I was sort of intrigued by the anniversary one, not sure if I like it or not. What is with the Chinese writing on the other two?

As a veteran and business Ph.D. I too am afraid the US is in for some extremely difficult times ahead economically. It is amazing to me how few people realize the outstanding debt this country owes, and have no clue whatsoever at how far the dollar has slid. The Euro is no doubt the world's new stronghold currency as much as it pains me to say it. Many extremely wise American investors bought off the dollar several years ago, and are continuing to wisely hold out as the economy declines. It's going to get much worse before it gets any better....

Chinese Writing is 88, as in Mansion88.com, apparently both Spurs and Mansion want to expand their reputation in Asia. Spurs are due to play in the Peace Cup in Asia in the off-season, so I imagine one of the Chinese writing kits will be used there..

I was quite tempted to buy the 125 kit when I first saw it, but apparently they plan to sell it as limited edition, numbered certificates in a presentation box, so I dread to think what they plan to charge for it..

Anyone with 1/2 a brain knows the aforementioned to be true.

Some oil producing nations have already begun pricing crude in EUR/barrel. When this becomes the defacto pricing model the Dollar will decline rapidly ( at least an additional 15-25% against the EUR )

Further as China slowly, unloads USD reserves and replaces them with EUR, as are many other nations, the USD will continue to decline, along with influence the US has in the world as a direct result.

The only reason these nations do no unload faster is because it would send the USD into a freefall thereby harming themselves.

Stop taking it seriously if you wish, this type of US ostrich head in sand syndrome is what has put the USA in the predicament it is in now. So please, by all means carry on.

The ignorance here is amazing!

Perhaps John should block access to SBR Forums from trailer parks, so there can be more intelligent discussions.

Jamie I think a lot of us realize the trouble that is brewing within our country mate. It's not that people here aren't all for having an intelligent debate, it's that you seem to really take a great deal of pleasure in anything bad that happens to the States. You're as naively anti-US as Razz probably is pro-US (and most Americans for that matter as many use geographical isolation as an excuse to be clueless on world affairs).

Objective discussion is one thing, blind hatred and shit stirring is another....

OH I HAVE BUB!!! You know how many people three short years ago told me I was crazy to say housing is going to fall? They told me to do some research too... yeah ok.. The facts are this.. we are going to have another tech. BOOM of major proportions and the dollar will be replace by the AMERO in 2011 along with the creation of the NAU... Housing will keep falling because people are too leveraged and losing their "manufacturing" jobs here not to mention money will leave real estate to enjoy this tech. BOOM... The BUST that will follow however will be a global one and the US will not be the only one going through a time which will be WORSE then the depression.... If you don't buy it tell me why I don't want this "oh just do research" or "No it can't be" garbage...

Gotsteam every word you're saying I unfortunately agree with. Razz is just 25 and like most young brash Americans is simply unaware of the factors in play.

I've unfortunately read too many scholarly articles stating the same thing you say above to ignore the problem at hand. In fact, it has been speculated by many that the fighting in Iraq is largely a fight to maintain oil currency in USD (as the Middle East was switching rapidly to the Euro pre-Iraq invasion).

History tells us that as one loses a stronghold on their currency one loses their place in the world's heirarchy, and that may well be the path the US is destined towards. That said, a country born by bloodshed, affirmed by bloodshed, and strengthened by bloodshed will most certainly not give up its place without bloodshed either....

I certainly hope not on that accord gotsteam, but I think we can most certainly agree that the US needs to really put an emphasis on the global economy and foreign relations. I'm afraid, however, that we have developed such a level of mistrust on the world's stage that it will take decades to restore. It's imperative to bear in mind global appeal in selecting our next President, and to select our battles very carefully in refraining from continuing to act as the "world's police."

I used to think that way too back in 02'-03' and I might have read some of the same "scholarly garbage".. now I feel that the reasons for Iraq as well as oil are not even close to that... Back then I used to also think the DOW's movement had something to do with oil (or vice versa) because they kept saying so... I know better now and notice you don't hear that sh*t either anymore... WTF did it SUDDENLY stop having an effect or was it bullsh*t to start with..?

I posted months ago that this market as well as global markets will SOOOOAAARRRRR and they have... AND THEY WILL KEEP going with a correction here and there....

I'll see if I can find the CNN special where Lou Dobs talks about the coming AMERO... maybe some of you will take it seriuosly when you hear it in the media later on this year or early next year... They are going to introduce the idea as a solution to the falling dollar....

That actually is possibly correct. Everything else you have posted in this thread makes 0 sense. Because 1 or 2 companies/countries with little economic status are slowly using the Euro, it's becoming "the de facto model" and the USD will "continue to decline". Even the most ignorant US hating person would disagree with that. Keep dreaming.

You are showing your ignorance.

When you talk about the SAUDIS ONLY accepting EUROS for oil and pricing oil in a native currency of OIL, the impact is HUGE

But as you say, they are just 1 country
So now, maybe Venezuela will do the same.
Maybe Canada will do the same.

But hey, thats only 3 countries according to your logic ( which is clearly flawed )

False, not that it matters.

You know what they say about speculation.

No it does not. Almost every superpower or great civilization has been ended by warfare, drought, disease, or natural disaster.

I think I'm done with this thread. Razz you're from my home state and I generally appreciate your insight, I was just using you as an example to counteract Jamie_UK's bias (although few could see the world with bigger blinders on as he).

I enjoyed the initial dialogue gotsteam. To be continued with more well-reasoned folks later...
