Arrow Do you use a MAC?

I am looking to make the switch from PC to MAC. I am a little fed up with Microsoft and the shoving a new OS down our throats, especially now that they are recommending your pc to start with 2gb ram. I have heard about fewer viruses, a much better OS and a more user friendly experience with the Mac. Not to mention that if you are dealing with media, it is more equipped for that type of usage.

All of what I have just stated is feedback from people who I have spoken with about a MAC. Now I am wanting the current MacBook as I need the portability. For those who have used or still use a Mac (desktop or laptop), I would like ot know your opinion/take on this system. Just looking for a little feedback before I make the investment.

    Thanks

I won alot of money playing onine poker 2 years ago and went out and got an Imac, has everything built into a nice 20 inch screen. I got to say I absolutly love it. I paid like $1000 bucks with student discount and upgrades but unlike all my shit pc's in the past this computer still works great.

Almost no pop-ups when surfing and I still got all my microsoft programs for school like word, excel, and powerpoint. I would def recommend a mac esp with new os they have. my computer is never slow or freezes which always happened on pc's esp when I had alot of poker sites downloaded, or like all americans looked at alot of porn.

Hope this helps, a friend actually got me to get mac instead of pc and im very happy I did. Probebly gonna get Ibook for gf this christmas.

I have a Mac Pro, it's a great computer. One thing you need is Parallels, which lets you install windows as a virtual machine. Once you've done that, you can use the windows machine inside the mac for the few things you can't do with the Mac and use the Mac for everything else. The only thing that really suffers is high end computer games.

well the reason to go wth a Mac is to get away from windows and I don't play games on my computer.

I've never personally been a big Mac Guy, but with OS X being based heavily on UNIX, when 10.5 is released I'm definitely considering replacing my Linux box with a Mac.

Do you mind revealing which web sites these are?

The new Macs will run Windows. You pay more buying a Mac but you have fewer problems which saves you time which is money.

Some software programs only run on windows. It's nice having that option.

part of my reasoning for wanting a MAC is getting away from Windows. Look at the design of Vista, they recommend 2gb, when they really didn't need to, but it is a way to force the masses to buy extra.

MAC just seems to make sense
