How do you know it's torn? It just happened like 5 minutes ago. He is crying on the sideline though so it does look bad.

If his knee was susceptible to injury it's better it happened now instead at the beginning of a playoff game. At least they can game plan for the playoffs without him instead of improvising during a playoff game.

How does anyone know he tore his ACL.

The guy had knee issues early in the season, might of re-aggravated that injury.

Welker is a gamer, he will play next week.

I get that people dislike a franchise, but to be happy a player is injured is pathetic.

Ummmmm, do you stat geeks realize that even had they converted, they still woulda had to punt it with plenty of time left?

Ummmm, do you realize that name calling will not change the fact that you're wrong and Belichick was right?

Also this is just plain wrong. There were two minutes left and the Colts had one timeout. If the Pats convert that fourth down the game is practically over.

Well done sir. You make a wrong assertion, are corrected, then attack the person who corrected you and blurt out totally incorrect details that anyone can easily refute.

    Ummmmm wrong.

The fact that Belichick didnt know he woulda had to punt regardless makes it the WRONG decision.

    Wrong AGAIN.

Belichick called a timeout PRIOR to the 2 min warning to go for it on 4th down. So the 2min timeout occured after the play at 1:57. Colts use their timeout immediately after which leaves over 1:50 left for 3rd & 4th down. So they have to punt regardless unless they go for it again.

The Colts ran their first play at 2:00, after the two minute warning. Which means if the Patriots converted the fourth down, that would've been their first down at the 2:00 mark. Run 10 seconds off for the play and the Colts call their last timeout, so there is 1:50 left and it's second down. Run on second down, 40 seconds off the clock, and there's 1:10 left on third down. Run again, 40 more seconds off the clock, and they're punting on fourth down with ~30 seconds left. The Colts now have to drive anywhere from 80-99 yards in ~30 seconds with no timeouts, effectively ending the game, like I said.

Just let it go, you're wrong. Read the numerous links all over the internet telling you so.

Getting the ball inside your own 20, with no timeouts and at most 30 seconds left is effectively game over. So you're wrong, because Belichick made the RIGHT decision. I feel like I'm arguing with a child. You ignore the facts I'm putting in front of you and just shouting over and over "LALALALA IM RIGHT LALALA IM RIGHT"

Just keep telling yourself that buddy. Everyone who actually understands what happened knows Belichick made the right decision. Maybe you should stay over there in the corner by yourself, with your own ideas....

When Welker went down, most other playoff teams still had similar key players in the game. Don't blame the Pats or BB for this injury if it indeed limits Welker for the rest of their playoff run.
