Default Wager Web owes me $81,843 and won't pay

Wager Web owes me $81,843 and won't pay.

From reading about Wager Web on sports forums and through guys I knew that bet offshore they recommended a few sportsbooks to me of which Wager Web was one, at the time it was called Casablanca.
On 4-2-2003 I deposited $19,900 into my Wager Web account via my Neteller account. At that time they offered a plan that allowed accounts to receive back 5% of net wins or losses each week as their bonus plan.
just an fyi: Later that month I started an affiliate program and the people I referred lost over $10,000 dollars and I was paid 25% of their losses. None of them still play at Wager Web as far as I know. Wager Web stopped the affiliate program for me in May 2004 because I didn't have a website and that was a new requirement of theirs to have an affiliate program. Wager Web freely exchanged money from my account to any of the accounts that were in my affiliate program with a simple phone call.

From 4-2-2003 until my last deposit on 10-10-2005 I had deposited a total of $403,400.

On 11-7-2006 when I called in to place a wager I was informed by John that my account was "suspended and under investigation for fraudulent wagers and taking advantage of 5% back."

On 11-14-2006 my account was unsuspended and was told everything was ok.

11-27-06 I was told my account was suspended again. My balance was $91,843 and they would not answer any of my questions on the phone or my emails. This time they tell me that I bet similar to other people, etc. Then they told me that there is a good chance I won't get any of my money. Then they stopped taking my calls or answering my emails. Then they said they took all my money out of my account and were put it in someone else's account and that I may be able to get some after a 20x rollover is met. My friend tells me they did the same to him and that was the only solution to me getting any money back. So I waited this thing out and now I am just screwed. The guy who they put the money in his account gave me $10,000 as he said everyone got totally screwed. So now I have $10,000 of the $91,843 that was in my account and I want the world to know that Wager Web is a con book and owes me $81,843.
When I signed up they told me I could take any of my money out at any time since the 5% bonus was based on bets already completed, so what was in my account was mine. Then they go and just take my money from me.
If anyone can help please let me know.

You need to write Bill Dozer. His email is Assistance@Sportsbookreview.com.

On the first read this looks about as bad as it gets. We need to contact the book and get their side of this and see if we can get it worked out.

This sounds serious... But to be fair, we have to investigate fully before reaching a conclusion.

If the facts are as you state, there are all sorts of problems here. A general warning to all players - if a book changes your rollover (or adds to it) mid-stride, something is terribly wrong.

I have personally dealt with wager web in the past, and they resolved disputes fairly. Give us the facts, and one of us will be assigned to help you handle this dispute.

An Rx poster claims he was stiffed for "hundreds of thousands" by wagerweb...

You seem to take them only giving you 10k pretty well. The second they did that I would think you would be coming here or to other forums.

I do think no matter if there was similar betting in other accounts or any other "suspicious" betting, the fact you bet with them for so long, means they don't have much of a case for taking your money in the end, no matter what you did.

How many accounts did you have? I would guess that you are a bonus whore scalper playing accounts against each other. It works out great when you get that 25% on the losses.

Sounds to me like many details are omitted

Most likely a shot taker whining about being caught

Let's see. There are some caution flags with the affiliate deal without a website and other details. However, that's quite a beating for what may or may not of happened.

I recall the Nine.com case which was for a similar amount. It looked like a shot taker but it didn't turn out that way. At the end of the day the book paid.

This part confuses me. They took your money and put it in someone else's account? Why? Who is this person and how did he pay you the 10K?

They have been a B- book for a good while. No history of this nature and they have been around a very long time. We will often get advanced notification from the book when the amount is this high. I will check with Bill on Monday to see what we know about this and what we can do to get the rest of the pieces to the jigsaw puzzle.

For those that have balances there and those writing us on if they should cash out, I would say we don't know of any reason why you should head for the door.

I'm going to send Bill Dozer an email tonight. Any assistance that can be provided would be most appreciated. The bottom line is they were either going to steal the whole amount, or I could put $10,000 in my pocket for the time being, and I took the $10,000.

I just received the money recently, but I am very upset over this matter. Nothing can justify them stealing my money.

I had one account, and I am no bonus whore scalper. I had played at wager web for over four years without any problems, and there is no reason for them to steal my money.

I STRONGLY agree with you John and feel like there is a scam in place here....WagerWeb has never had issues paying anyone and I find this crap impossible to believe! ...I have no worries about my funds @ WagerWeb

If I were you, I'd quit posting here while SBR are investigating (and the same applies to your "friends").

I am investigating this. This is quite possibly the most complicated dispute I have ever reviewed. This might take longer than normal to resolve if only due to the 5-year period where this thing built up.

You people are so quick to take sides when you have absolutely no clue what is going on. One guy said "Never had a problem with them.I had many withdrawalls, some of them 4 fig".

Don't you understand that 80,000 dollars is a lot more than what you are dealing with?

Every book that ever went bad....they all have one thing in common: the number of stiffed customers started at 1.

Keep your mouths shut unless you are involved and know what the hell is going on.
