    Default So...What's New?

Hopefully some of you remember me. If not, no big deal.

Anyway, due to a new job, I'm finally going to be able to get back into action. Its been over a year since I've had any action and it really seems like a lot has changed.

Where are the best places to play now and what are the best and easiest ways to fund an account?

As always, any help would be appreciated and its great to be back here.

By the way, is The Prick (aka My Personal Bitch) still around here?!

Good to have you back Senator....a lot has changed and I am not sure how aware you are but the offshore industry has done a complete 180 and for the worse. A number of books have bailed out on the U.S. market most notably Pinnacle but also Canbet and VIP. In addition, a number of payment processors have bailed including Neteller.

There are very few solid books left to play but most people would agree that Betjm/Greek, Matchbook/WSEX, 5dimes, Bodog and a few others remain at the top of the class. I recommend BetJM.

Depositing and withdrawing have never been harder although, not surprisingly, depositing is still easier. Players are jumping through loops to try to deposit and and a cursory glance at the past 3 months of threads at SBR should give you an idea of the problems of withdrawing even at the most reputable of books. It's best to contact individual books and see how you can deposit but **, Cashier's check, and **** Gift cards remain the most popular now.

Not much else has changed. A few new mods...i suspect I'll be getting a Modship soon.

Thanks BB! Good to be back, believe me. Got sick of the political world and got a "normal" job. Too much BS in politics these days. My political views have even changed a bit too, BB. A little more in line with yours!

After taking a look at things, I'm thinking of playing at:

    BookMaker
    Matchbook
    Bet Jamaica
    BoDog

I've still got my old accounts at these shops, but I emptied them when I took my new job. It sounds like it will be a hassle to get some money back in.

Any other help or input is appreciated.

    Thanks guys! I appreciate it.

Just taking a look at things, it seems as if FedEx is a reliable option for BetJamaica.

I was thinking about using ************* for Bodog and BookMaker. Anyone use them at all? Are they decent?

It looks like I'll have to take Mavs' advice for Matchbook.

I must say, I am very surprised to see JJ still posting here. You're not causing any drama like the old days, are you JJ?

Actually Prick, I'm one of the guys that kicked your ass in the inaugural Beat The Prick Challenge. Just be thankful I wasn't around to do it two years in a row last season. This year will be a different story though...

By the way, my SBR Tommy Bahama shirt is still my favorite shirt in my wardrobe.

I remember you very well. You were involved in another forum (Offshore Edge??? Something like that???) weren't you?

Good to see you're still here, Mudcat. And by the way, I saw an old post here about the "SBR Originals" and I appreciate the compliment you gave me in that post.

I do post at The Offshore Edge as well, but unfortunately, things have slowed down there since that dreaded bill passed.

I'm just glad to see that most of the "old gang" is still around here. I can't wait to get back in the thick of things just like old times!

Thanks BBD. But I don't remember any finger problem?

As for you, Prick, I'm eagerly awaiting football season.

I'm still here. I seem to use the site more for Private Messaging than general posting these months. There are still some knowledgable players around.

I believe it was Brick Tamland who injured himself on the job.

I'm still here as well which I'm sure is a weight off your mind. Glad you got rid of that avatar - that was frickin' annoying. People with annoying avatars do my head in.

Horrible run for 2 months. Win some, lose some, no big wins. Baseball is square central this year. I expect all the favorites with the aces on the mound tomorrrow to sweep the board. Wouldn't shock me if all of them covered the -1.5 RL as well.

I always wait for bases. Wish I had gone on some 6 month peace mission this year instead of having to see the chalk rule the board every single night.

For most bettors, baseball is the most profitable sport.

I'm 2-0 since starting up again. Had the Giants on Monday and the Mets on Tuesday. Almost went with Maddux and the Padres tonight, but decided against it.

Just remember that its only May and its a LONG season, my friend!
