Best Gangster/Crime Movie Of All Time
Recently we did a poll on the better of the two movies, Goodfellas or Casino. Goodfellas won 26-15. I have compiled a comprehensive list of the greatest mob/crime movies ever made. I narrowed it down to 30. From this list I will pick 5 movies to be in the final poll. I can't currently see any way that Scarface, Goodfellas, Godfather 1, and Godfather 2 don't make the list. If you disagree, please say so. Otherwise, please help me pick the final film to make the top 5 for the poll.
Here are the other 26 movies to chose from. Please pick one final movie to round out the top 5. Voting for #5 selection ends New Year's Eve night.
Miller's Crossing
King of New York
Carlito's Way
Heat
Donnie Brasco

A Bronx Tale

Pretty funny that it ALMOST made my list. Had to narrow it down. Use it as your choice if you like.

True Romance is a great movie. Possibly my favorite Tarrentino flick.
Would Snatch be considered in this category? It's basically all about gangsters and crime. If so, I would include it.
Of course Godfather I and II. The other two (Scarface and Goodfellas) are two of my favorites as well, but not on the same level as The Godfather and its sequel. Those are possibly the last 2 truly great cinematic accomplishments of the 20th century.

Snatch was apart of a deeper list that included Bonnie & Clyde and a bunch of others. It's a really good movie. I am sure I missed some. However, trying to narrow it down is the idea...Jello...what is your vote for #5 then? True Romance?

I know I'm in the minority, but I think "The Untouchables" sucked. Just a ridiculous dramatization. De Niro's great, as always, but he's barely in the film. Costner's a terrible actor, and the film is so far off from actual events.

On the list, id say American Gangster.
(If Sopranos were included even tho its not a movie, that would be all time top IMO)

Miller's Crossing - some guy gets his kneecap blown off i remember that much
King of New York - oh man classic Chris Walken, verrry young Wesley Snipes, Larry Fishbourne and David Caruso in this one. Good stuff. Didn't hold up well when rewatched a year ago though.
Carlito's Way - Basura!
Heat - Another of my alltime favorites. I've seen no less than 40 times. Fantastic performances by the big two, as well as Kilmer and Sizemore. Hell, it even has the black President from 24 in a small role!
Donnie Brasco - Just didn't hold my attn. But then again, I have AIDS.
Once Upon A Time In America - Haven't seen this one in 20 years, but remembered enjoying it.
A Bronx Tale - The rude bikers in the bar scene is a classic. And the kid playing young DeNiro is a riot.
Casino - You just can't go wrong with this one anytime of day.
Usual Suspects - Took me forever to finally watch this. Del Toro's character...OMG funny! Clever movie.
Departed - Just aight. Not sure it was worth all the fuss.
Pulp Fiction - Entertaining from beginning to end (except any scene with Bruce Willis' retarded girlfriend).
Road To Perdition - Never seen it, and never will because Sam Odom is a homo.
Untouchables - Man I loved this one as a kid. I actually have it on a list to but the soundtrack again since I lost it ages ago. Good shit.
Hard Boiled - ?????????
The Killer - ??????????
New Jack City - LOL...This movie was just OK. Ice-T is a HORRIBLE actor.
Boyz In The Hood - I'LL SUCK YO DICK!! O man this one is a classic. RICKYYYYYY!!! BLAM!
True Romance - Awesomely violent film. The dialogue between Chris Walken and Dennis Hopper in that one scene is worth the price of admission alone. Stoned Brad Pitt is also a little-talked about gem. Great choice.
Training Day - Good enough, but I don't get a moist tip over it like most guys.
Blood In Blood Out - Que?
Gangs Of New York - Saw a few years ago finally. Damn good, but not great.
American Gangster - zzzzzzzz
Boondock Saints - zzzzzzz
Menace 2 Society - Ah, another classic depiction of inner city gang life. Note to self, never tell a thug ***** that I "feel sorry for his mother."
Reservoir Dogs - Endless one-liners in this one. I would hang out with Mr. Blonde, even though he would end up cutting off my fukkin ear!
City of God - No clue.
So my choice obviously goes to, out of these choices, without a doubt in my mind, undeniably..HEAT!
