Default New Addition to the house!

Went and picked out this guy last night. He will be ready to come home on Sunday. I can't wait. I have always wanted a Weimaraner. He has the "blue coat" as you can see from the pics....hes adorable.

Just wanted to share my excitement with the SBR family.

    Beautiful dog. Enjoy!

I am contemplating putting my 12 year old aussie down because of health issues. He is not eating well and has trouble walking.

Smitch it is hilarious that you say this because I proposed that in the car last night on the way home from the breeders....it was shot down immediately. I tried to even throw in the fact that I was a big fan of the Mick....no such luck.

    Congratulations.

Am sure you know it already, but a puppy class as soon as he is able is a must. Socializing him around people, kids, and other dogs is a must. The earlier the better.

Hopefully you are somewhere sort of warm as your breed can go for ****ing ever in terms of energy.

Dogs are great, you should have a ton of fun.

    Amby.

Beautiful dog ... but, mmike and The Seer are correct on this. They are clumsy as fvk when young and they need lots of exercise daily. They grow fast too. That size will last you a month if.

    GL man.

Yeah I know he is going to get pretty large. I have a decent sized yard and am hoping he helps me get up off my ass to take him for walks and runs. I know it will be a lot of responsibility and a challenge but I think I am up for it.

We settled on a name...it looks like it is going to be Zeppelin....I can't complain with that and I think it fits him well.

Amby, enjoy the dog. Just make sure you keep it active. They have ton of energy they need to burn off.

    He's a beauty.

I miss my dog, had him for 14 years before having to put him down for multiple health issues, the main one being difficulty walking. Through all the shit in my life, every time I came through the door he was there with the tail wagging. Have his ashes in an urn.
