Default Who Will Be the NFC Champion?

Well, the Saints have backed into the No. 1 seed, but they have sucked for weeks, and it appears their luck has finally run out. I say that as a lifelong Saints fan. Their offense just can't make the clutch plays like they did early in the season. The defense? I guess its okay except for a couple of minor problems. They can't stop the run and they can't stop the pass. They are making every hack QB look like Johnny U.

With the Vikings imploding as well, I think a value play would be to make a futures bet on the Eagles.

I already told people a long time ago the vikes and saints are overrated. The cowboys and the eagles are the teams to beat in the nfc and i think smart people know that.

It looks pretty wide open right now. Packers and Eagles have been on a good roll.

Resting players against Carolina and having a bye week is going to be huge for the Saints. Going to be tough to beat.

Whoever ends up with the #2 seed will be the NFC champion.

If Philly wins, they'll get the #2 seed.
Otherwise, if Minny wins, they'll get the #2 seed.
Otherwise, if Arizona wins, they'll get the #2 seed.
Otherwise, Dallas gets the #2 seed.

The way things are going, I might not be surprised to see Arizona get the #2 seed. But, we'll see...

The Bengals might be the Cardinals of last year, stumbling to a division win and then getting hot in the playoffs. But I'll believe it when I see it.

    In August I went:
$500 Eagles to win NFC East 2 to 1
$500 Eagles to win NFC Championship 5 to 1
$200 Eagles to win SB 12-1

    I'm sticking with them

this yr's cardinals might be green bay or dallas, a team that is flying under the radar as everyone is talking philly, minny or new orleans turning it on

Vikings better do it, if they want a shot at winning their superbowl this is the year to do it.

sorry, but you only had hm field against atl last season because you won your crappy division, you were only 9-7 but they were 11-5, if the gm was rightfully played in atl then you guys woulda lost and no one would even have talked about you.

good luck trying to beat dallas, gb, or philly, let alone winning at minny or new orl, aint happenin' this yr, your chance was last yr and that was it

If Cards go into Philly again, they'll beat Philly again just like last year.

If the Cards meet Minny again, they'll beat Minny again just like this year.

I'm sure the Cards will handle GB at home just fine.

I even like the Cards going into the slumping Saints and pulling that upset.

Dallas might give the Cards trouble, tho. But they're unlikely to meet each other.

Some places have Cards at 9-1 to win the NFC. Those seem like nice odds.

Sounds like some deep rooted hatred against Arizona. If it's Bidwell, I understand. Everyone dissed the Cards last year too. I'm pretty sure Warner knows how to win in a dome and they beat Philly last year when EVERYONE said they would lose.

last yr's nfc champ gm was at hm vs philly

this yr's gm vs minny was at hm also, and minny also lost at carolina and at chicago the following wks so nothing impressive beating them right now

    BUT

in the playoffs everything changes and there are 5 other talented hungry NFC teams that are all equal to or better than the cards so good luck w/that buddy

not everyone. i swear on everything green on mother earth that i had them +3.5 at hm vs philly

also had them +11 at carolina

and +2 at hm vs atlanta

it was their yr and they were getting overlooked, i just had a feeling about them from game 1

not this yr though, too many other good teams that are hungry in the NFC

the playoffs reset everything, it is a new season buddy

Well, they won't have to play all 5 of those teams. lol

Round 1 is most likely hosting GB, which shouldn't be too tough.
Round 2 is most likely going to Minny, which you yourself said Minny isn't impressive.
NFC championship will be @ Saints or hosting Dallas/Philly. Not bad, IMHO.

You are smoking something peculiar if you think the NFC is strong this year. Vikings and Saints are BOTH looking weak as hell right now. Philly & Dallas will have to beat each other up, only one of them can advance. GB is too young, untested and inexperienced to do anything much this year. The NFC is about as weak as I can ever remember it being this time of the year.
