Default SBR Tech's

Website comes up with multiple errors under Norton 2010

IM from my buddy:

just went to SBR... norton pops up saying site is unsafe
it has... spyware ie toolbar... adware kuaiso

two of each...

i got the unsafe site warning...

and it said there were 4 viruses from the sportsbookreview site...
two of each of those...

Told him it was fine, but he's still scared to come here. Guessing this happened to a few others.

Those warnings likely come from viruses or Trojan Horses already present on your friend's computer. I doubt there is a spyware issue with SBR, besides whatever monitoring SBR has installed with their membership base. I have never experienced any viruses emanating from visiting SBR.... but then, I am on a Mac, and Mac users don't get a lot viruses from internet use.

I have tried to get this issue addressed. There is malware residing on the SBR servers. It is not a major issue, but it should be removed. A lot of antivirus programs have bots that crawl the sites and examine all the files residing there. I had one of my sites get blacklisted by Google (and Norton) because there was an unused PHP script on the server that (unknown to me) had some malware embedded. The bad thing was that they wouldn't tell me why I was blacklisted and it cost me a ton of money and resulted in the cancellation of my merchant account to accept ************. SBR should investigate and rectify the situation.

Sorry about the confusion. I can confirm that none of our sites serve malware. Norton is complaining about our screenshot toolbar. We've been trying to validate our site and software with Norton, but apparenlty they still think its malware. We will do anything we have to to ensure that our visitors have the smoothest experience.

We will keep you guys posted.
