Default My NBA Lock of the Year

I don't do many locks mind you. But I like Utah to hammer Houston in the friendly confines of the Salt Palace Thurs night. Utah -5 is my play.

I also think Utah will win this series. That line is hovering around +290. This is a bit of a gamble, obviously, but a decent risk/reward ratio.

I agree sir. T-Mac will disappear in Game 7 again.

He was referring to game 7 if this series goes 7 that is.

Don't worry about Game 6, it shan't be close.

Is that why they are down 3-2?

Utah hasn't outplayed them in every game, but I don't really think they've been outplayed in any game. Houston was better down the stretch of the first two games, and did enough to win, so you give them credit. But Utah was the much better team in Games 3 and 4, and was the better team in Game 5.

I am betting Utah also, I think that line is too low. I think Utah wins by at least 7.

although i also think utah will advance +290 has no value!
if you like it.. w8 for ML GM 7
+290 means that UTA in GM 7 should be +167 /if you parlay -217 (recent UTA ML) and +167 you get the +290/
UTA ML in GM 7 will be higher than +167 for sure

Well then you hang -217 instead of ev100 to make the exact same thing. But I know what you are saying. Its not a value bet.

Ive now got Utah to win @+290 going into gm 7. That will be hedged. If you took the long route you'd just have a 100 in profit which you'd have to lay to scoop the +167.

I agreed with you about Utah crushing Houston in game 6. That was an easy game to predict. Game 7 though is something else. More of a coin flip. Heading into this series, I rated both teams as pretty much even. Home field advantage should make game 7 much closer and very hard to predict than game 6.

I'm staying away from game 7. I know that many people are starting to bash Houston for their lopsided losses in Utah, but they might be able to pull out a marginal win in game 7 at home.

It was a lot closer than the final score indicated. But good call nonetheless. I hope Utah beats Houston in game 7 although I think GS beats either of these teams...

    Houston did choke a little.

The way it has gone logic dictates taking Houston.

Utah played game 6 very tight. The offense got very few layups. The key to me is was Utah playing just tight or is Houstons defense now able to defeat the middle cutter passes. Because Utah is just an average team playing the contested jump shot game.
