I had a bet on the pirates does this mean I win the bet because they were leading after the 6th inn or do I have to wait until the game is commpleted to see if I win

Actually The winning wager here would be Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh didn't bat in the 7th

well I got the teams mixed up, but if the Cubs have the lead I don't think Pitt wins, but maybe I'm wrong?

The problem here the inning where the cubs are leading is an "incomplete" inning. Pitts could have easily loaded the bases and slammed one in.. (maybe I'm wrong..)

However in any case, due to this the final complete inning was the 6th in which case, the score still finals at Pitts 5 and Cubs 2. (Edited) regarding Moneyline bets.

Well I guess I have received comfirmation that people had their Pirates bets graded as wins, but I feel that is a bad rule

Expect are saying that because the match is not finished the result is still pending until the match is completed tomorow

There is no debate here as the rule is very clear:

For betting purposes, if a game is called after five innings but before completion, moneyline grading is based on the score after the last COMPLETED inning unless the HOME team has just tied or taken the lead, in which case the grading will be based on the score at the time of suspension.

In this specific case, it was the ROAD team that just took the lead, so that becomes academic and the official score reverts to the end of the sixth inning, Pirates 5, Cubs 2.

It's not bush league, it's their rule. There is no obligation on them to have the same rule as everywhere else.

There are at least 4 different rulebooks for tennis at sportsbooks, even US ones. It's the player's responsibility to know the rules where they're playing.

Tuesday's Game

GAME #901-902

For betting purposes the final score of the Cubs/Pirates game is 5-2 Pittsburgh
in six innings. Under Nevada gaming rules when a game is suspended the score reverts
back to the last full inning compltetd. The score was 5-2 Pittsburgh after six full
innings and thus for betting purposes this will be the final score. Totals and Run Line
bets are no action.


The game will resume Wednesday May 2 at 9:35 AM PT. The regularly scheduled game will
start apprximately 30 minutes after the completion of the suspended game.

The Chi Cubs/Pittsburgh game will start at least 1 hour later than scheduled due
to the completion of Yesterday's suspended game.

Guys this is the rule virtually EVERYWHERE. I'm really surprised so few of you have ever been in this situation before. It's also the most fair way to grade, as it would certainly have been unfair to grade it a Cubs win having gotten an extra go around. Pittsburgh was graded the winner in Vegas and at every sportsbook online I know of too.

I'm really shocked that so many of you are unfamiliar with the most standard of baseball rules....
