    Default Anyone else buying no gifts and receiving no gifts this season?

    Or am I the only renegade here?

    Not married, got no kids, my immediate family is small, and there's no one religious... We may try and get together on Christmas, but just as easily may not.

    The holidays never cost me a dime. Guess it's a little sad, but whatever, I'll take the savings.

    I got my daughter a computer, she'll probably get me some cd's or dvd's (hopefully the hangover) but outside of that I celebrate christmas with my friends.

    this is me, except my family's religious. still i got nothing nor have i given anything. i' mfine with it. it feels like a regular day, same shows on tv up here. waiting for the basketball game at night, thats all

    I'm firmly entrenched in this camp as well, preferring to keep my distance from family gatherings and all of my friends know that I detest the exchange of gifts so Christmas is just another day for me as well. Even as a kid I hated family gatherings and holidays, so this has always been the way I wanted to do things. My family gets pissed off, but since I don't see them much during the year anyway, their opinions don't carry much weight.
