Thumbs down Neteller / Moneybookers news

Neteller no longer allowes using NTcard.
    http://content.neteller.com/content/...tellercard.htm

Please be careful with Moneybookers "gambling" or "tipsters account". They charge extra fees, which maybe only I did not noticed. So using MB instead of NT is not so nice as it seemed.

We would like to inform you that the fee for receiving payments for tipsters is 2.5%.

    yes i am talking about pro-gambler "unlimited" account;
it is not mine account, so the info is from another forum - 100% they charge p2p transfers, not sure about receiving payments from merchants or bank wires

i will update if i know more

Oh, I thought you meant they charged 2% for receiving merchant transfers. That they charge for sending money to "friends" is ok. Think about the extra money, one can pick up for the extra bonuses at books.

VIP account is not the "pro-gambler" account
I have also VIP account with limit about 55K/90 days x "pro-gambler" is a new status on highest possible level with no limit

So why the charges on one account and not the other ?

  11. #11

Because they want our money obviously. P2P transfers for pennies are only for small bettors it seems.

to be honest i really don't care what kind of fees they charge for p2p.

as long as in- and outgoing transactions with merchants are free (or whatever the book charges) I'm happy.

Yes, I agree, most important is that transfers to and from books are fee free (apart from the maximum fees of 0.50 Euro per transaction).
Apart from that so far I didn't notice that any other transfers are charged with 2,5% fees? If it is true, thanks for that additional information.

Sorry for late reply, I didn't notice you had answered to my text.

Yes, I am completely sure: I have a 'pro gambler account' and never get charged for any transfer from and to books/exchanges.

But then, why does he need a pro gambler account and why did Moneybookers give him a pro gambler account if he only plays small bets? Normally one get a pro gambler account only if one bets so much that one reaches the 90 day transaction limit even if one has done all steps to increase the limit.
But anyway (gambler account or not) it is strange he must pay fees?!

Can somebody verify if what OP said is true? I was thinking of getting a no limit account but forget it if they charge a 2.5% fee.

I have a no limit account and don't pay fees. Best thing you can do is to ask the customer service how the conditions for you would be.

I confirm that is is strange! We will see. I know that MB hated anyone who was suspected of making money with them ... i mean not pro gamblers but people who were doing something like e-wallet currency exchange had their MB accounts blocked. Maybe he received many small payments from and to bettors. Just speculation. Anyways nothing nice of them.

Moneybookers do not charge fees for money going into the account - no matter from what source.

A minority of books charge a small fee for withdrawal - but major books like betfair do not.

If I withdraw $500 - then the full amount is credited to my moneybookers a/c.

It depends on who you are.

I am sorry for misleading info: Moneybookers "pro gambling" status, which means unlimited account, probably has nothing to do with "tipsters" status, which is thievery.

That's it Lucas, tipster account status is given to those guys that setup tout services, thats where they charge the fee if they identify you are doing that activity. It has nothing to do with the pro gambler status.
