Default I have a dispute with my bookie about a result

    Hey guys,

i think i need your opinion here.

I made a bet today on the total numbers of cards in a soccer game, Panathinaikos v Udinese (Number Of Cards In Match) Over 4.5
Now, according to Uefa official info the cards shown were 5 in this game. I exchanged e-mails with my bookmaker though, and they say the Press Association's info was 4 cards. The bookie states on their site that results are settled according to Press Association, and that they had also reviewd the tape and settled for 4.
However the organization that runs the event, that is UEFA, declares in it's official press info otherwise...what should i do? Isn't it appropriate that UEFA's official info to have precedence? I think in american sports all results are settled according to NBA.com, MLB.com etc...

If they state the PA is what they grade their results on, then I think your out of luck on this one. Unless the PA switches their final count. Not sure there is much you can do about it if the rules state the above.

To be honest, I'd say you're screwed. Bet365 are paying as per their rules and if the Press Association say that there were 4 bookings, then that's the figure they used. It does seem odd, however, that their figure is different to UEFA's.

Look on the bright side - if you'd have won the bet then Bet365 would have no doubt cut your limits.

Unfortunately yes, i think the same way, i will look at this tomorrow again, but the other problem is i have no way of checking what the PA actually says...

Well the place where I get my live scores from says there were only 4 bookings - all for Udinese. I presume that the dispute is over Darlas' booking for Panathinaikos.

Yes, livescore.com says there was no booking for Darlas, i think this is a clear mistake. They have the booking for Zenoni though.
At some other places there was no info on booking for Zenoni on the 28 min, just Darlas.
    So i guess it's both...

Soccernet gives 4 bookings, ignoring Zenoni.

Maybe the confusion happened when Darlas got his yellow card. I didn't see the game, am just assuming. Maybe the ref actually booked both of them.

If the trouble is worth it for you, you could always get in touch with PA and give them this link http://www.uefa.com/competitions/UCL...Report=ST.html asking them to correct their info. Don't know what the odds are on this being successful.

    Here's PA contact page: http://www.pressassociation.co.uk/contact.php

    Thanks Max

I did and hope they pay me attention.

Another strange thing about the Zenoni booking is that according ot UEFA he was booked in the 29th minute and according to livescore.com in the 85th, and the latter ignore the Darlas booking completely.
    What a mess
No more such bets for me.
