    Question Question for Moderators

Believe me, the thing I love about this place is that there seems to be absolutely no censorship, quite unlike Kaiser Wilhelm's empire across the street. However....do you think it's wise in this environment to continue to allow people to post specific withdrawal processor data? (As has been going on in the Sportsbook.com thread and now the Bodog thread.)

I recall getting a mass e-mail from Scotty at BetJam when they rolled out their DC to please not divulge details on the forums. I have to imagine the other books feel the same.

    Your thoughts guys?

It's been baffling me that people continue to do this at 2+2 as well. Not only is it bad idea for the obvious reasons, I really don't understand what the benefit of posting this information is supposed to be.

I guess I haven't been paying enough attention to the thread. It certainly seems like a bad idea to me.

Glad to know you agree. Do you have the power to edit posts? Would it be a good idea for those of us who think the info should be kept in confidence to notify you guys when somebody spills the beans? If so, what is the fastest & best way to notify you guys?

Sorry so many questions, but I think this topic is crucial to the future viability of the industry.

sportsbook.com is done. you shouldn't get all worked up about it.

It's the processors, not the sportsbooks, that are vulnerable to this information being posted. Personally, I'd like every processor to be protected as much as possible in this current climate.

...and I'd still like to know what the benefit is supposed to be of posting the banking details. There is a lot of this going on.

Granted, it probably isn't hard for the powers that be to track down the processors themselves (especially if they're willing set up accounts and cash out), but I don't understand the need to make it this easy for them.

Ganchrow, I hate to be a pain in the ass about this issue, but do you or the other mods have a certain way you would like us to proceed if similar information is posted in the future? I know the "Report Post" feature is not designed for this purpose, but maybe you want us to use that and then you guys can use your discretion from there?

I think the determination is that we're just going to have to ask people not to post this type of information, but as moderators we can't be editing this type of info out of posts.

Ganchrow is right in regards to this matter. We can't just edit everything out. The best we could do is maybe contain it in some type of fashion with everyones help.

I understand....much as it pains me to rely on other people's intelligence and discretion (or lack thereof), I'd rather it be that way than to become the RX (aka censorship central).

Nor do I trust myself to be. Do you actually read what I post or just selected phrases?
