Default Why Is It When A Player Dies He Becomes Such A Great Guy???

I guess right things to say instead of telling real truth.

You couldn't be referring to 5-time arrestee Chris Henry, could you?

I don't think anyone has painted Chris Henry out to be a patron saint.

I think the treatment of Henry has been, for the most part, fair and even handed. They've said he was a young man who had his troubles (yes, they've mentioned his multiple arrests) but seemed like he was getting his life straighted out and headed in the right direction...

Have you ever attended a funeral JJ? That is NOT the time to air dirty laundry. When the person is alive and not around, that is the perfect time

puhlease. the guy was a fvcking punk.

it's fvcking laughable. it's like McNair. they tried to sell that he was such a family.... except that he got jacked by one of the small time hoes he was banging instead of being w/ his family, lol

even more ridiculous than the usual media coverage is the jumping in of SBR posters to chime in 'oh such a nice guy'.. when (1) the guy was a criminal punk and (2) they never even met the guy.

    idiots

Great guy?? The media portrayed him as a bad guy. Everybody knows all the trouble he got into. It's just that when he past he was trying to change his life and focus on football.

umm...did you want to offer up any proof for this or were you just running off at the mouth???

Look, I didn't know Chris Henry and I suspect you didn't either...but the people who DID know him acknowledged his troubles but said the young man was getting his life turned around...

If you don't KNOW differently for a fact, then why speak ill of the dead???

I don't respect someone just because they are died. You earn respect for the things you do while alive. He did nothing to earn respect, and in fact did a lot of lose it. Good riddance to the wife beating, drunk driving sack of shit, I say.

You must not be smart, but mostly everyone on the forum knows that. Manslaughter? Do you think she asked him to go on a ride to 7/11 and for him to chill in the back? Geez, one of the 911 callers said there was a black male in the back of the truck with his shirt off and it looked like he was banging on the back window trying to get in.

Hmmmmm, manslaughter. This won't even happen. With a dirtbag like him, there almost was a history of physical abuse. She was trying to flee an abusive nut trying to do whatever.

    Manslaughter?

Yes, I'm sure NFL athletes just randomly fall out of the back of pickup trucks without any actions being taken by the driver like slamming the brakes or accelerating or better yet turning sharply... I mean I'm sure she just was driving down the road and scared for her life... The only thing she was thinking about was getting him out of the back of the truck. She accidentally killed someone with a vehicle, say what you want its Vehicular manslaughter.

Killing someone with a vehicle does not have to equate to vehicular manslaughter.

I think most of the responders in this thread are a little too opinionated about the subject. Nobody knew the guy. I know people who have been arrested for an array of things including fighting (assult), smoking weed and drinking and driving. Most of the are not bad people and have many people in their lives that care for them.

I also know many people who have never been arrested who I would not want in the lives of my friends and/or family and I think are scumbags.

I dont think he molested kids. dont get me wrong the dude wasnt playing with a full deck either. I think the dude had kids stay the night and in his bed but never molested them. And the parents saw the $$$ they could get and Jackson would pay it off. just like he did. I mean come on if your kid got molested by MJ would you be happy with a millions of dollars payout or would you rather see Jackson get phukked in the ass in prison by Bubba? The money would be nice but it wouldnt be justice for your kid. So the parents of both cases were happy with the money so they dropped the pederass charge.

I've done all those things several times over, I've never been caught though....Does that make me a scumbag or not?

Guys guys.....humans die that is part of life. R.I.P. and try to be a better person on the after life Mr. Henry. You were good at catching footballs....that is for sure.

Now guys on to important matters....what bets do you like NFL, NCAAB or NFL for tomorrow....need a solid solid pick to bet $500 on.
