Bolts meet the undefeated Colts for the AFC championship, and take them out, then Bolts meet the undefeated Saints in the Superbowl, and take them out too!!! That's just me, a biased Charger fan

One thing I'm anticipating is that the #1 seeds will face tougher opponents in the playoffs than the #2 seeds. I say this because the #5 & #6 seeds will yield better quality teams than the #3 and #4 seeds. The #1 seeds will always face the lowest seeds, so they'll tend to face those hot wild card seeds rather than the minor division winners that coasted into the playoffs.

For example, I think the Packers are better than anyone in the NFC East and probably about equal to Arizona right now. But if the Packers can win their wild card game, they'll probably be going to New Orleans because they'll be a lower seed than the winner of the other wild card round winner. If I was New Orleans, I'd much rather have Philly than Green Bay in the playoffs.

Likewise, the Colts most likely will be playing whoever emerges from the crazy AFC wild card race which includes 7 different teams. I think whoever wins out of that race will run through Cincy in the first round and face the Colts. If I was the Colts, I'd rather have a limpy New England team coming in rather than a white hot Steelers or Dolphins team playing with passion. I can totally see some of these teams flipping the switch and running their respective tables. I can also see them flopping too, so who knows...

They're both the favourites in their respective conferences, but lots of teams will have a chance: Vikings, Cards, Packers, Eagles, Cowboys in the NFC(So basically the entire playoff field), and Chargers, Ravens, Pats, maybe Broncos in the AFC.

We go therough this every year at this time. First, to say that New Orleans will not win a single playoff game is qbout the most rediculous thing I have heard in here. Someone obviously has lost his a** of the Saints and now is simply jealous of them. After a first week bye they will play the winner of the Arizona-Green Bay game (most likely), and game that should be a win. Finally a game against the winner of the Minny-Philly game awaits them, and that is when we see exactly what the Saints are made our of.

In the AFC, Indy gets the winner of the New England (if they do not choke it away) #5 seed game (Denver, at this moment). They certainly should not have a problem with that team. Then they will play the winner of the Chargers-Bengals game, most likely San Diego, and while San Diego has a good history against Indy recently (3-0 S/U since 05) we also know that the Chargers always blow the big game.

I think one of the undefeated teams makes it to the superbowl. The odds onboth making it are very long, because it is rare when you have both #1 seeds go all the way. I can't recall the last time that has happened.

i honestly dont see the saints or the colts in the super bowl i mean maybe the colts because they have been able to come from behind and beat pretty good teams and as far as the saints on some of their bad days they let the rams score a ton on them and bucs score alot as well and they came back but sure it was the rams and bucs dont think that will fly against a team in the playoffs they will capitalize on something like that their defenses will be alot better than the rams or bucs if the saints have an off day and let them score a ton right off the back

1. If Cincy loses this weekend, the Patriots overtake them for the #3 seed. In fact, I see a Cincy meltdown coming. It's just that time of the year for them. So whoever runs over a folding Cincy will face the Colts unless the Pats get upset. Even then, I wouldn't want to face whoever is running the Pats out of their own stadium in January either.

2. The Chargers have a great record in the playoffs and are battle tested. Some of the vets like LT know this may be their last chance. They'll be playing with passion. Under Norv Turner, the Chargers are 3-2 in the playoffs, including 2-0 against the Colts. Your analysis is plain wrong. In fact, when the Chargers were in the AFC championship game against the 17-0 Patriots, they were dealing with tons of injuries and still took them to the wire. Hardly a choke job. But Schottenheimer's last game probably was a choke, and it IS fair to blame Marty because the game was lost due to player discipline penalties which comes down to coaching.

I would love to see 2 undefeated teams in the big game but the Colts do not have the defensive depth to get them there. Watching the game last night there was no Colts D ... Jags lost due to Garrard losing control of the ball at the end, not the Colts D - he had guys open, just could not get the ball to them. I had the Colts at -3 so I was happy but man what a nail biter ... just don't like their chances.

Playoff games usually come down to who has the better front-7. I don't see both teams making the SB, but one of them getting there is certainly a possibility. I think NO is the better team than IND, but they may have a tougher draw in the playoffs. GB is a team that I think could be a darkhorse, because that defense is really playing well.

The Chargers are 3-4 in their last 7 playoff games, Please tell me how that translates into a "great" playoff record. Even 3-2 under Turner does not trasnlate into a "great" playoff record. Now their 4-1 ATS record under Turner is very good. Their problem is that they are 1-2 on the road in playoff games, and 0-2 in AFC Championship games. If what you say is true, and New England passes Cincy, this is very bad news for the Chargers, because New England is the one team they have never defeated in the playoffs, no matter where the game was played.

Like I said, the odds of one team going undefeated and into the playoffs are pretty good, especially when you have a 13-0 team and a 14-0 team this late in the game. Indy has games against the Jets at home, and then at Buffalo. Now Buffalo's season is over, but the Jets still have an outside chance at a wild card spot, and are only a game bcehind Das Englanders, and tied with Miami, so who know what will happen there.

New Orleans gets a desperate Dallas team at home, a hopeless Tampa Bay team at home, and then closes the season at Carolina, a team that played them pretty tough at home, but a place where the Saints are 6-3 /U in their past 9 games. So their chances of going into the playoffs undefeated are very good, especially since they have a real good MInnesota team pushing them right now.

I would love to see a New Orleans-San Diego Superbowl. A team who got rid of their #1 QB a few years ago to give Rivers a chance, against the QB that they fot rid of. How sweet would that be?

I think and have mentioned for weeks each year we have a surprise team ...and have been saying it will/is the Chargers... I doubt the Colts make the super bowl because of their defense... The Saints on the other hand will be tough to beat...but is it possible sure with the Vikes, eagles it is possible...
