I think it meant a lot to both teams. The loser, which in this case is the Bulls, has to play Miami, who has the one guy in the league that is still the X-factor: Shaq. I don't think Cleveland or Chicago was very happy at the thought of putting their small centers against him. Now, Chicago must get through Miami and Detroit to make the Eastern Conference Finals: the two teams who have owned the conference the past 3-4 yrs. Cleveland has a much easier road, but if they face NJ in the next round that could get tricky for them.
