    Deuce - you forgot about 2008 when the Tigers tried to buy it, had the 2nd highest payroll in MLB and still finished 10+ games under .500

    Deuce, you can't compare the Red Sox to the Yankees. The Yankees outspent the Red Sox by $80 million last year. The Tigers had a payroll of $6 million less than the Sox. The Yankees are in their own league and then there is about a dozen teams that have comparable payrolls after the Yankees.

    Let them buy them all. I'm happy spending $20 for my seat at the Braves game in nice weather. Let them freeze when they buy their $500 seats and pay $15 for a glass of beer.

    You know what would be unethical boys? If your team did have the $$ the Sox and the Yanks have and didn't try to buy a championship. What the hell are they supposed to do? If they didn't spend it to get the best talent available they wouldn't be putting the best product on the filed for their fans. You've got a problem with MLB and the lack of a salary cap...not the Yanks and the Sox.
