i dont mind the big bet when there's such a great opportunity with the cards. cards can put up points and so there's a very good chance they blow sf out. it won't happen the other way around. cards big for me as well

agree with tcarn, we bet so we can win, you have to bet big on rare occasions to win long run. there's no point to bet even units on a lot of games. good luck

Even now I still need to take some advice, like I said lost 1200 in 2 days! In hindsight I really bet out of my normal bets for 2 days. Reason was being greedy, cant tell you how many times greed has devoured my good judgement when gambling

Great advice Nicky. Sometimes I don't agree with your approach but this post was perfect. I just shake my head at the guys who can't be satisfied with a great week. I want you to win Sammy. Just wish you would be smarter with your money. Without discipline this kid is never going to get it.

If you are betting these 10 units because you are way ahead for the week, then it's the wrong thing to do. If you are betting 10 units because you think the cards are really super solid, then you should bet 10 units.

started w/ 400 last Wednesday....and in 5 days already up to 2300...DOING WORK BABY I'm not worried at all....I may lose money tonight, but not all of it. I need only 2 wins to be over $1,000 again and back to smart. I've only lost money 1 of those days and that was $45, every other night has been winning over a few hundred, so I have been betting very smart.....even tonight is betting smart spreading the money around and not all in 1 game, just maybe the amount I'm betting isn't smart. understand about money management, I usually bet to win 75-125 a gm, today I wanted to gamble and w-e happens happens. Like I said 100 times, i was up almost $2,000 in 5 days, so that's a good time to gamble big time. Weather I won another $2,000 today or lost 1100, I will go back to normal tomorrow. I hope Brewers and SF wins too, but 1 would be nice at least...need at least 1 as far as my WNBA 2nd half chasers, looking at 1-1, so, if I can get Brewers and SF, I have small losing night I think and if 1-1 then little loss, both lose, a lot

Reality is, if you risk this much on one bet everything won't be fine after, you tell yourself now that you'll still be up but odds are you will chase after the emotional unstability the loss will give, before you know it back to square one.

Looks like poor MM to me also. I just lost a crapload last week due to poor MM. I just started wagering during the middle of 09 and turned $300 into $11,000. Slowly grinding, and adjusting bets according to each books BR. Unfortunately, I hit a BAD losing streak. Lost all of it except for 2700 which had already been withdrawn a few days before the bad streak started. Took a week off to get my emotions in check and started again with small bankrolls to grind again and hopefully learn from my lesson.
