There cannot possibly be any value making such a long term bet with them. First, you're gonna lose up to 15yrs of interest until the wager is settled. That's a lot of edge. More importantly, the probability that BetUS will be around in 15 years is pretty slim also -- it's just too big a time frame in a fast moving industry.
I do wonder how they get all this press though. There was a link to this story on DrudgeReport also.
My friend suggested starting a "Lex Luthor" fund, investing in expected destruction from global warming. If the shit really does hit the fan, and tons of methane hydrate is released out of melting ice, having an internet bet that looks like a winner as a huge underdog might not help you out too much.
