I put that early game on there so that I could do the exact same parlay with a different baseball game if the Cardinals were to lose. I thought the Pirates were a great pick, but I just do not feel comfortable betting for them.

It's basically like buying a lottery ticket. You will almost definitely lose but maybe you can have some fun with it for a little while.

Now if you play these kinds of parlays as a matter of routine, that is a very bad idea IMO. You will consistently throw away a lot of money.

Even with all the point buying in the world, 11-team parlays are a guaranteed loser in the long run if played continuously. However, if this is a once in a while fun popshot for a fraction of a unit, then what the hell, why not?

I actually hit another 9 teamer tonight, but one of the plays got cancelled on a push. A lot of the same games though. Of course the idiot that I am I proceeded to lose 300 dollars playing poker. It was a nice win though.

I finally got one right though....Although these parlays buying points are the way to go. If the Mavs were favored by 15 and the money line was -1900, if you just by back the 15 points the money line moves to -410...........works swell.

Yes you hit the big one tonight, and congrats. However, it DOES appear that you are playing way too many of these. As I mentioned, you will lose in the long run no matter how many points you buy, as there will almost always be those 1/2-point and 1-point and fluke losses to blow up your seemingly easy ticket. Now I do not know how long you have been playing these, but if it has not been long then you hit the jackpot with a $1,500 hit this early in the game. Now enjoy your winnngs, but do not think that you have found the Holy Grail.

I think it is the Holy Grail of fun, especially since I have NBA TV, it is so fun to watch all the games and have on big bet on them. Life does not get much better.
