Default NFL Week 14: Peter Loshak Previews with Al McMordie

SBR.tv’s Peter Loshak and industry vet Big Al McMordie continue their weekly betting previews in the NFL with Week 14, featuring some “contrarian” opinions from McMordie.

Indianapolis is a 7-point home fave over scrappy Denver, after the undefeated Colts burned backers last week who were sensing a possible first loss and likely non-cover. The Broncos play a similar style to San Francisco - who lost 18-14 at Indianapolis a few weeks ago - a game predicated on quality defense and a conservative run-oriented offense, which could serve to keep the game close and relatively low-scoring. McMordie, who faded the Colts last week, weighs in on both the side and the total of 44.

New England is a 13.5-point home fave over Carolina after two road losses in a row. Pats’ coach Bill Belichick is notorious for having his team play well after losses, which has resulted in an astoundingly good ATS record for his teams after losses in recent years. This years’ version of the Pats though is thought to be overrated by some, and Big Al agrees. In this spot however, he does like the Pats to get a cover due to numerous serious weaknesses of the Panthers.

The football world is abuzz this week with talk of Dallas’ notorious annual December collapses after their outright loss last week as a favorite to the Giants. And as bad as the Cowboys have been in December recently, San Diego has been just as good, having not lost a game in December since 2005. But Al sees all this chatter as skewing the line inappropriately in favor of the Chargers, and discusses this line of Dallas -3 in light of public perceptions and reactions to well-publicized short-term tendencies.

The betting public has had a very tough time with the Giants this year, tending to have backed them when they have lost and faded them when they have won. This week the Giants are a 1-point home fave over Philadelphia, which Al sees as a bit out of whack since they were installed as a 3-point road fave at Philly earlier in the year. The Eagles are coming off of their impressive road blowout over injury-ravaged Atlanta in Michael Vick’s return, but Al sees them as having not played particularly well since that last game this year against the Giants. Al, who has had a good read on NFC East teams in general in his previews with Loshak at SBR.tv, weighs in on this line with a decided opinion.

    Great video once again.

The mustache is very distinguishing. Like, people could see Peter on the street and say "Hey! It's that guy from the SBR videos!"

I wear my lostache all about town and people mistake me for Loshak all the time!

Ithink this guy sucks sorry, I see Indy winning just sqeaking buy,New England is going to win but not cover, but to tell you the truth I havent checked injuries for Carolina. Pats have only 2 or 3 guys around from their days of greatness, guess what its a different team period, different kickers different coaches etc. San deigo is the pick. Dallas often sucks they couldnt beat the sisters of the poor. giants will get the job done. I am new here for those who care my favorite team is the only one that counts. the team that bring me the cash.My mortal lock is a new england . Why your at it a three team teaser wheeling the pats work for me. PISS ON YOUR BOOKIE THAT PUSSY.

SD +3 and Over 48. Chargers put up at least 23 pts to guarantee at least a split.

Forget picking a side between Dallas and San Diego, I love the over in this game. San Diego won't be able to run, but Dallas won't be able to cover the two basketball players they have playing at receiver, so look for a lot of scoring and the game to go over the 48.5 points.

    Nice video, liked it. Thanks.

I did go with Indy 1st half by 4 and I'm liking them. I'm hoping they pull that win off. Only reason I didn't take Indy the whole game is because I'm going to be watching with a friend that is a huge fan of the Broncos. Gl today fellas.

I'm confused. You say NE to win but not cover but NE is your mortal lock??? Are you quoting the video? I didn't listen to it

Profit I'm sorry, new to this , but not to winning. What I meant the lock would be the Pats not covering. The ironic thing is I put in my bets in after I was on the computer and my bookie had Philadelphia- 1 when I put my bet in I took philly because they were then +1.I also bet a three time teaser with Panthers colts and S.D.40 times, and a teaser with eagles, colts and green bay 40 times.I was eight in 0.I would say this week was very easy. Watch for me next week, I am a local legend in my area. LOL. I got the winner for tommorrow and the total which I must say I hardly ever play, I am really bragging I apologize. There is a pro baseball manager calls me for winners ,honest. sorry bragging again.
