Default Soccer: Road to glory

Manchester United and Chelsea are on their way to completing a famous possible treble or quadruple respectively.

Chelsea have already bagged the Carling Cup, both teams are in the Champs league and FA cup semis, and will be fighting for the Premiership title till the last kick in mid may.

The interesting part is one team will most likely ruin the other's chances of doing it. They play each other in London in the Premiership in two weeks, most probably will play each other in the FA cup final, and their is a fair chance of both making it to the Champs league final.

What do you guys think, will any of these sides win it all?

The way I see it, Liverpool wins Champs League, Chelsea wins FA Cup, and Man U wins the Prem. I do think Chelsea is more likely to accomplish it though.

Being a Liverpool fan, I might be a bit biased. However, you'd be a brave man to bet against them in a 2-leg CL semi-final against Chelsea. Despite their failings in the league against the top English teams, their record in Europe is pretty damn good. Never quite understood that. Additionally Liverpool, having pretty much nothing else to play for after just about securing their CL spot for next year, won't be distracted by domestic league and cup competitions.

After watching the games both today and yesterday to me its clear that united is the superoir team to chelsea this year.. however, that being said the team i was most impressed with was milan.. that was a brilliant performance today and i was super impressed with how well they were coached as well as there goalie, who always seemed to be in the correct postion.
there defense was air tight and am going to take some odds on them to win the champ league..

and that touchdown that united put up yesterday was impressive, but not a sign of things to come.. that was an avalance that just got out of control.. the thing that concerns me the most about manu is their inabilty to perform on the road

Not true at all, as far as I'm concerned. First of all, I think you're selling the win at Valencia very short. That is a really difficult place to get a victory. Sheva and Ballack are finally playing well, Joe Cole is back, and it just can't be brushed aside that United amassed most of their lead when the best goalie in the world (IMO and in the opinion of most experts), Petr Cech, was out. His backup, Cudicini, missed a lot of time as well.
I have loads of respect for United, and their performance against Roma was fantastic. But, it must be taken with a grain of salt. Roma were dealing with injuries - not that United was at full strength, but their missing parts were of less importance - and the nature of the game was such that once Man U were up 2-0, things snowballed. Man U have given several poor performances in recent weeks - even some of their wins (Fulham, Boro) were undeserved - and in all honesty, I think their loss to Portsmouth was more typical of this Man U team.
If the season started today, Chelsea would be unquestionably the favorite to win the Prem. As it is, I don't think they will win it (trips to Newcastle, Arsenal, and Everton will derail them, as I see it), but I think they will get all three points when Man U come to Stamford Bridge.

Yeah I saw it afterwards. I still think you maybe underestimate how impressive that win was by Chelsea, but your second post definitely was more on the right track.
I think all four teams can win it. All three teams are really right at 3-1 to win it my mind, though like I say, I give the slightest of edges to Liverpool.
I thought Milan would be eliminated today, but they really gave a nice effort. Bayern missed a lot of chances, but Milan's finishing was clinical. I don't think they can dominate the run of play against Man U, but they can beat them. They may be a little too slow at the back, but if they can find a goal at Old Trafford, I think they can easily be in the final.
