Default Why I LOVE the UNDER tonight Ptt/Cleve...

Sure Cleve is whore shit but there is going to be 30-50mph wind and it's as cold as a witch's tit outside. Now lets take a look at the spread, -9.5. Only way for Pitt to cover that is with a FG or a 2 TD lead. Sure the 2 TD lead is possible but this game the yards will look like this. A FG WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE with those conditions...

    Steelers
    Passing 45yds
    Running 220ys

    Browns
    Passing 72yds
    Running 87yds

No way these guys put up large numbers.

    We are on Pitt/Cleve U 33
Hammer me please if you're on the other side and let me know WHY!!

Sounds plausible to me Deuce. One thing to keep in mind about your no FG kicking theory is this... If they can't kick FG's than they will be in 4 down territory almost every time any team that passes the 40yd line leading possibly to more scoring if there are some conversions. All that being said I like your logic and analysis.

Very good logic as well. It's now a mere coin flip between your logic as well as mine.

I think under 33 is risky though because that is awful low number. I have seen more overs on this kind of a number than unders in recent years.

Also, Ward is beat up. I am a little cautious on Ben being a solid cold weather threat.

no such thing as a lock with a line that low, a few funny bounces and it goes over before halftime. With wind like this picks are easier to come by and can be returned for tds, and with the wind teams will be going for it on 4th down so more tds could be scored. NO PLAY here but dont think its a lock BOL

Sean Rogers is out, along with how the game will be played, I have Mendenhall for a TD or two. I don't see anyone else as a huge factor scoring wise. I favor the under.

Yeah no such thing as a lock man.

I am with you though, have under 43, Pitt -1/2 and Browns +20 1/2.

    Best of luck man.

i never take overs so now that we get the most clear cut under of the year im taking the over. im looking for fumbles, 10yrd punts, going on 4th down, defenders slipping all over the place leading to big plays. all this and it still going to be hard for me to cash..ov32.5 for me

    Typical overreaction.

all the weather sites i've checked say 23-25mph winds...that's windy, but not that big of a deal. And remember snow benefits the offense much more than the defense, and both of these defenses are without their stars. And Cleveland's anemic offense was more due to Derek Anderson and then Brady Quinn getting into a rhythm, which he's obviously done lately.

This game goes over 33 easily.

wrong...not just wrong, but dead wrong.

That was a torrential downpour, the field was a mudpit after steady thunderstorms all day and night.

There is only a 40% chance of precipitation tonight in Cleveland, and it will be 19 degrees. Have you ever seen rain when it's 19 degrees outside? And when there's only a 40% precipitation chance, that either means light snow or on-and-off snow throughout the night.

Final score tonight: 28-14. EASY over play here folks.

I agree. Both teams defense suck and the under is too obvious. It's such and under, it's an over!

Today: Blustery with snow showers. High around 20F. Winds WSW at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of snow 50%. About one inch of snow expected. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.
Tonight: Windy conditions and snow showers. Low 17F. Winds WSW at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.

I wouldn't call 19F with 28 mph winds and snow ideal conditions for a football game. This is almost blizzard conditions.

My guess is the field will be muddy like mush, the winds and white out conditions will make throwing the ball impossible to catch and the punters will be busy because the ball won't advance on running plays in muddy field and both teams abandoning the nickel packages and stuffing the line of scrimmage with the safeties on 8 man front lines.
