That is sick. From my perspective, that shows they tried to do too much rebuilding all at once. Sure, Bruschi and Harrison were gonna retire regardless, but they didn't have to trade Vrabel and Seymour!!!

You can make the argument that Seymour would have helped this year, not sure so much about Vrabel, he hasn't done much in in KC. Vrabel was traded for cap space at the start of free agency, more specifically to sign Fred Taylor who has been hurt.

I feel like it's near-impossible for us to judge how the departed Patriots would be faring on this team... Success has a lot to do with comfort in the scheme and also with what the other players around you are doing. Maybe Vrabel's best days are behind him, who knows, but I bet he could have solidifed things. And Seymour for SURE would have gotten more pressure on the QB.
