Default MNF Discussion: Ravens at Packers

I like the Ravens to keep it close, in a low scoring affair.

Not going to play the spread, but like Ravens +3

Will be playing the total tonight

    UNDER 43 for me

    DO WORK

I think Packers jump on them early and win the 1st half easy at -1.5.

Over is the play. Packer Defense that is hurting + a Ravens defense that has lost more than a step in the secondary with Rogers and the second best WR core in the NFL coming at them ... this things sails way over the total.

If this is the case with the weather, anybody here give consideration to being a close game and taking the Ravens +3.5? Also if a running game is necessary, IMO Balt. has the advantage? Feeling like a degen today and having to make a play tonight! Was originally liking the Pack but Flacco is our local boy!

First GB can show up with the good team or bad team. The Ravens have a huge game tonight. The Jags and Broncos are the leading wild cards right now they are both shakey teams. If the Ravens can manage a win tonght it would give them an honest chance at 10-6 knowing they still play Det-Chic-Oak and only Oakland on the road (they play pitts aways count that as a loser) 10-6 would be a nice mark and probably make the playoff. So if your thinking that way this is Ravens biggest game of the year a "L" here probably means no playoffs. Most of the betting public is on GB plus Sammy doesnt want to bet Raven (bonus) so im liking the set up. Im gonna take Ravens for 3/4 of my money and Ravens ml for the other 1/4 .......PUMP THEM UP RAY RAY

I have little rooting interest in Ravens being a Dallas fan, so I will continue to stay away from spread

    UNDER is my only play

    Good Luck to everyone

theres a reason that 44 fell to 43, you must think the Ravens offense has broke out of the slump?

hoping the packers win so the jags have a commanding lead in the wild card, but the right and only play should be ravens ML. GL

The snow's not coming until tomorrow (supposed to get a big storm when it hits). They said we'd get an inch or 2 last night into this morning but there's only a dusting on the ground right now. It'll be damn cold but don't factor snow into your capping.

I like Green Bay tonight because they want to get into the playoffs. Tonight is just like a playoff game for these teams. It is really big for one of these to get a win tonight.

I'm pretty sure the Ravens wouldn't mind making the playoffs either.

I agree DrStale. As I was saying it is big for either team. I guess I did not say that right. Flaco has seemed to me to make too many mistakes in recent weeks and Green Bay has been the hotter team with winning four in a row. I think they make it 5 in a row tonight in a good game.

The snow and cold play NO FACTOR in a football game, unless it's a white-out. What DOES make a difference is the wind when it's cold. And if any of you "experts" on football who have not played major college football in the Mid-West likie I have, think otherwise ... well go look up the score from Cincy/Pitt on Sat.

They aren't playing table tennis, ladies ... it's football. It snows during the season!

It's not easier for a quarterback to throw a football down the field when its warm and sunny than when its freezing and snowing? The Brett Favre of the past few seasons begs to differ.

Okay, same can be said for a DB trying to cut in the open field to cover a WR who knows where the route is. LOL, this cracks me up ... oh and was the NE/Tenn a month or so ago a figment of our imagination?

If one team was playing in snow and the other wasn't, then the advantage does go to the good weather side. Both teams have the same set of issues to deal with on the field. From expereince as a Defesnsive player in the Big 10, I would rather face a good offense in good weather. The snow is an equalizer that negates defensive (make-up) speed when playing against a good offense with speed on the edges.

Limited wind but some snow ... this one sails over with ease.

this gm could be played in 60 degree weather id still take the under . far as gbs defense hurting yes i believe that al harris was a big loss kapmen not so much but lets face it bal wrs arnt scaring any1 they are basically move the chains type guys there leading reciever is ray rice. i look for pack to use woodson almost like a safety 2nite and have him shadowing rice and helping in run support. woodsen should get serious cosideration for defensive mvp imo. bal d while certainly not what it once was is still a talented group with tons of pride. in a very important gm for both teams this should be a battle. i look for a low scoring affair somewhere in the 20-13 range

Game reminds me of the Houston-Tenn game two weeks ago. Dead even game likely decided in the final possession. I have to take the Ravens plus the points.
