    Default Jacksonville is 7-5

Why is nobody talking about them playing in Miami in the superbowl this year?

A very hot and dangerous team (won last 4 of 5)

    solid black quarterback

talk to me...why is nobody mentioning this team??

Mostly dude to the inconsistency of Garrard. Some games he looks like he could be a pro bowler and then theres others he looks like he doesnt belong in the league. They have great running back, solid defense, but the WR's and qb aren't strong enough to get to the superbowl.

What? You said they don't, he said they do. You lose.

The Jags are incredibly inconsistent and they have Miami, Indy and New England their next 3. It wont happen.

haha this is becoming a theme, but the jags only lost by two at indi the first game of the season. The jags have been playing great this year at home and should be getting back their best defensive player (rasheen mathis) who has been out the last 4 weeks. I dont think the colts will be trying very hard at 13-0 and wouldnt be surprised if they upset them. They also play miami at home and they thats a dream matchup, because they can stop the run and the short passing game. I think the jags will go to the playoffs and will win their first round game as long as they dont play new england, but that is slightly biased because I am a jaguars fan, but then again i am fairly a realist.

My question is why were they home dogs vs. Houston this week? (Not that I minded, thank you very much...)

I never did understand that line, I made game Jax -3.

Jacksonville will have to close on the road, at New England and at Cleveland. It will be very cold for those games. Not the best scheduling for a warm weather team. They have not defeated a good team yet. They also have not won a game by more than 5 points in their since the beginning of Octoberffs. This team is lucky if they make it to the playoffs. With an 8-4 Denver just about guaranteed a 10 win season (home games against Kansas City and Oakland), the best the Jags could hope for is a 6th seed, and that means playing on the road, where they have already lost 4 games.

As far as Miami goes, there has never been a team that has played in the Superbowl in their home stadium. This does not change this year. That plus the fact that they are BOTH in the AFC makes it IMPOSSIBLE for both to play in the Superbowl. Perhaps a little more research before you post is called for. I mean, a post that like does not tell me that you know a lot about Pro Fotball.

clearly you havent watched one jaguars game yet this year. They were up 17 with 4 mins left agains KC, KC scored a late td, recovers the onside kick and scored again with 7 seconds left so it looks like it was a close game. Then vs the texans the texans again scored with about 3 mins left to cut the lead to 5. Those are just a few references. They can also succeed in a cold weather environment having the number 4 running attack and having a good defense and it may be luck but the colts will have clinched home field throughout when they play at the jags so they probably wont play THAT hard and on top of that the jags have beaten the colts at least once 5 of the last 6 years. They play miami at home who they matchup well against and on the road at cleveland which shouldnt be much of a task. They might even get lucky when they play at New England because they might clinch their division with no chance of getting a bye so they wont be playing for much, clearly you need to read up

Jim Plunkett was a solid Native American QB.....what the HELL does that have to anything?
As far as Jacksonville goes...they might qualify as the WORST 7-5 team in NFL history! They lost 41-0 to a mediocre Seattle team! You have to give Del Rio credit though because they're probably the least talented team in their division so 7-5 is pretty good considering!

Really, the color of the QB should not even come into play. Either the QB haqs it or he does not. Obviously Garrard is not going to make anyone Pro Bowl list, but is he good enough to guide a tam of this caliber to the Superbowl? Highly unlikely. He certainly is not a Manning or a Rivers or a Brady. He is average, at best.

They have too many holes on their team to win a Super Bowl this year. I see them for sure being a playoff team at 10-6. They do have a tough schedule in the last four games though. They only have room to lose one game to for sure make it.

if the ravens lose tonight they can probably lose two games and still make it in. They own the tiebreaker over the ravens jets and steelers and if they beat the dolphins theyll own that tiebreaker as well so 9-7 is not out of the picture

Jacksonville were up 17 or something to kansas city and then KC almost came back to win it. Yes that's right, KC made a game out of it. Jacksonville sucks, will fade if I get opportunity.

I sure do not see them going anywhere if they get into the playoffs though. They are probably going to have to travel to New England unless they falter which could easily happen or to San Diego or Cincinnati. Those teams are just too tough for the Jags in the playoffs this year.
