Question for anyone who has ever been shot

What was it like? Can you compare the pain to some other injury you've had, like a torn muscle or getting kicked in the nuts, etc?

I've heard that is very painful

But has he been shot before? Otherwise his comparison is of no use

I would think being stabbed is much more painful

A gunshot if it's a small caliber is a clean hole

Also if you get shot in the muscle it must hurt more

And the chest I do not think you have to worry because she'll pass out probably in 30 seconds and die

The stomach would be painful also

I would think kidney stones are much more painful than being shot

I haven't been shot but I have been bitten by a dog. Almost severed my knee. Much worse than being shot.

Once again, thank you for the reply but I am looking for comparisons from people who have been shot otherwise it's just a guess

I have torn my hamstring, simultaneously dislocated and torn ankle ligaments, and had a high pressure stream of bleach go in my eye, amongst other injuries. Not all at the same time

College roommate of mine was in the service and was shot in the shoulder.

He's fine now after therapy and funny as he actually had to have rotator cuff shoulder surgery on the other shoulder and said the pain after the rotator cuff surgery was similar to the gunshot.

I've feared rotator surgery since then. Lol

I took one straight through from an ak overseas years ago. I remember it burning like you can't imagine but the pain not being horrible at the time, probably a lot of shock. After is when the pain sets in. Imagine if you didn't work out your abs for a long time and then all of the sudden you do a real hard workout. That pain you feel every time you try and move your stomach, it was a lot like that all the time. The first couple days I was kinda scared that if I moved I would tear the wound back open.

It obviously depends on the location of the wound I can imagine as well.

I been shot twice, stabbed three times (although 2 of those stabbings were by a shank while I was doing my bid upstate.)

    Hurts about like you'd expect.

Ain't no thang a little lean and vape session can't cure.

    You dig?

that's nothing people have to do that for other injuries like a broken collarbone... intense pain if its a bad break for every slight movement you make on the broken side for a couple weeks

It was a pointer. He thought I was a rabbit and bit me behind the knee barely missing the tendons. Have to have stitches. Doctor said it was worse than a gunshot. I was a lucky man.

I've never been shot but I do know someone who was very recently. He got shot in hand he said it didn't hurt as bad as you would think but the pain didn't go away for almost a month.

I snapped my tibula and fibula totally in half in a motorbike accident and it didn't hurt until the ambulance guys tried to move me.

I'd imagine a serious gun shot would be similar.
