Default Just a thought....

Do you think the US Government would layoff, if the Sportsbooks deduct the Taxes from the players winnings prior to processing a withdraw and of course, send the IRS their percentage.

Your thoughts.

I doubt it.

If they didn't make drugs legal and tax it here in the states I don't see that happening at all.

No way, they know all the "regulate and tax it" arguments. And in some states (such as NJ, I think) every couple of years someone always feebly throws it out there again as a possible revenue source, and it gets briefly mentioned on page 30 of the local paper that some local figure made the suggestion. There won't be any concessions, it will either be legalized in the US (almost infinitely unlikely) or the momentum will continue in the direction of illegality, although the speed could slow to a crawl if circumstances draw attention and energy away from it.
