"very good", "great". there is a difference in my opinion

more important than "great" is HOT

that is why so many lower seeds have won a playoff series over the years

more important to be HOT at the right time, than great

Nemi won it for Chi and he is not good, Crawford isn't very good either hot goalies win cups King Hank has yet to win one and he's probably the best in the league, Andersen is playing well, that series would go 6 or 7, but ppl need to realize that LA was down 2-0 to STL last year and won the next 4 so you guys need to chill

Tough to define, not many great goalies in my view so I would agree you don't need a great one since I see them as rare.

I think the Sharks are built for the playoffs more than in previous years, but I certainly don't rate them ahead of the Ducks.

very tough to measure goalies, given that GAA, save%, etc. only tell such a small part of the story. Not sure there is a good metric that helps to point out a great goalie. There's a lot of great defensive teams with good goalies, who are made to look great.

I'd like to see any goalie that's been privileged to play on a top team have a few seasons with the Sabres. Would help to see what's what.

Look no further than when Bernier was traded from Kings to Leafs. Since Lombardi has been GM its been to build from defense first. Not all teams share that philosphy

Huge Kings fan but don't see that this year as Sharks more mentally tough than that STL team. Still don't think SJ can get by Ducks if they advance

it would go 7 probably and come down to if Getzlaf or Perry shows up, when they do the ducks win and when they don't they tend to lose, last year they sucked and lost in round 1 this year they have played better and are up 2-0 that's the difference.

Sharks are constant underachievers so I won't be placing any futures bets, but if they play to their full potential the only team that is deep enough to hang with them is the Bruins.

for sure he will walk in FA and they will go with Andersen and Gibson next yr plus with the money gone from Temmu and Koviu the ducks should be able to get a nice free agent/ or trade for Kessler and sign him long term.

    6-3 (3 junk goals by LA at 5-0). and 7-2 (7 unanswered)
out of 6 periods, I think LA was legit better than SJ in only one.

before they underachieved with only one good line... now they are running 4 scoring lines. the west is stacked tho, but right now, the sharks look like the strongest team

When the Kings won the cup they were beating the crap out of people on the boards, handling the puck well, and had unreal goaltending. They are doing nothing of the sort in this series.

    Big overtime for kings/sharks here.

2-1 or 3-0 in series is HUGE.

lol we've dominated this whole series minus a 3rd period when we were up 6 goals and two minutes of an OT.

The Sharks will 100% win the cup this year.
