Do books change lines mannually or is it automated? It seems that if they do it by hand they would screw up a lot when the lines were really moving....anyone with insight?

Depends on the volume of the store
Stores with lots of volume it is automated

Mostly manuel, smaller shops just follow the big boys like pinny, cris and oly.

Most of Pinnacle's line moves are automated for example.
