Garmin is the best in the Biz- Driven in 20 plus states and have had no problems. Only issue was driving in the heart of NY City where I had no sattelite reception.

The best GPS company in general happens to be Garmin. They have the best turnaround time, the best customer support, and the best products & deals.

I just used the new Google Maps on the Droid for Verizon and that is good. It is a new version that is only available on the Android 2.0 operating system. Has text to speech and seems very accurate. Plus it is free on the Droid.

iPhone is free too, basically needs a software update though, too slow.

    Boys thanks

Forget any iphone app or any phone app, you need a separate device for driving, phones take way too long to load and freeze up, etc I have iphone gps apps that cost $80 and ok but it kills your phone battery and is way too slow.

Phone Apps are ok for emergencies

First GPS I ever had was a Garmin StreetPilot Color back in '98. Pretty cool.

Have had about 10 GPS since and have to agree that Garmin is the best. Magellan second.

But if u can find one, Navigon isnt too bad and it comes with free lifetime traffic report. Saw a refurb recently for $30 or so.

    Stop

I have owned Garmin, Navigon and TomTom GPS devices.

My current GPS is a high end TomTom with lots of features but I preferred my last GPS which was a Garmin, I gave it to my mother when I got the TomTom.

Next GPS I get will be Garmin.
