Default Vikings Really Beat No One This Year

If Warner plays they could get smacked real good. I looked at Minn's schedule and the wins were not that great. Favre is playing unreal and they would be 0-11 without him but I just think the schedule has favored them.

I cannot believe they were +5, I do not usually bet games ahead of time but man the Cardinals should not be that even with Leinart, and if Warner plays Vikes have little chance to win.

The Cards have a very solid defence. They usually play well at home when big teams come to town. I agree with Gold. The one game Minny was supposed to prove they are great they lost to pittsburgh. They blew a big lead to Balt and got lucky to escape at the end.

    They have beaten the

    Rams
    Lions(twice)
    Bears
    Browns
    Pack(twice)-decent team
    Seahawks
    49ers
    Ravens-barely

This has to got to be the softest schedule out of the contenders.

Vikings have really beaten nobody. If Favre didn't pull of that last second miracle, they would have lost to the 49ers. Vikings were a missed field goal away from losing to the Ravens. They let Detroit hang around at home a little too long. Vikings toughest game to date has been a Pittsburgh, which the Vikings should have won but didn't, and how good are the Steelers really. The next few weeks will show how good this team really is, and if Favre can continue playing at a high level.

Arizona hasn't beaten anyone either this year. And if you are betting on Leinart against Favre you are throwing money down the toilet.

The Vikings completely outplayed the 49ers. San Francisco got 2-3 incredibly flukey plays themselves to be in that position. They also outplayed Pittsburgh and had there not been 2-3 crucial turnovers in the red zone, the Vikings would be undefeated too. The Vikings "bad" pass defense is misleading because teams can't run on them and they completely abandon the run. They've also gotten up big in games forcing teams to pass. Once in this position, their d-line tees off on the Qb with one of the best pass rushing dlines in the league. If Warner doesn't play the Cards are going to get boat raced. Even if he does, the Vikings will win.

Yes true but last year zona didnt beat anyone in the regular season but made the superbowl. If Leinart is out and Warner plays I say vikes lose.

Dec 14th 2008 Vikings at Arizona, Vikings won 35-14 with Tavaris Jackson at QB, T Jack threw 4 td's. Vikes have more weapons this year. Vikings do not have a problem Sunday night and win by 10+.

We are definitely seeing a different Fayre this year. I think this line has been set perfectly. If anything, take the points with Arizona @ +4.

I disagree with the post saying if Warner starts that Minnesota will have little chance. Their defensive line will dominate, Minnesota is too good for anybody in the NFC.

The Saints have a better offense than anybody sure, but there's no team as complete and balanced as Minnesota.

The Vikings and Cardinals will be a good game but I see the Vikings winning the game even though they are on the road. The Vikings have not played the toughest teams in the world this year I agree. After this week they play Cincinnati and that is not easy either. Other than playing the teams in their division the Cardinals and the Bengals will be their toughest non division games this season. The Vikings are the only ones that have a chance against the Saints because of their defensive line can put pressure on the QB.

I agree; lets just wait on that bet until Sunday morning this time. See if Kurt feels much like getting out of bed this week.

Agree with this too. I got a pretty good feel the Vikings make it to the Bowl.

Arizona is a better road team this year IMO. Vikings pass rush will get to whomever is under center for this one. BF will have another huge game cause the Cards will gameplan around stopping AP

even with warner, Minn easily the better team. With warner and without farve, min is still the better team.

I don't know about that Brooks. Without Farve the Vikings are just a playoff team and that is it.

I agree blues, that is crazy ... without Favre they don't make the playoffs. GB wins both the games they played this year and GB walks with the division. They are a 9-7 or 8-8 team without Favre.

There may be revenge on Arizona's minds on that game also obamasmyuncle. There sure is incentive to get back at them.

    i agree with that.

Im just saying i think minn can beat ari without farve, regardless if warner is playing or not. And Ari seems to be playing sloppy ball at home.

Vikes didn't have Favre or Harvin last year and were 11-5, so saying they are 9-7 or 8-8 w/o favre is a stupid statement.

Big game, but the bigger game for Arizona is the division game in San Francisco a week later.

Minnesota's 10-1 record is misleading, because they have not really beaten anyone, and were soundly beaten by the Steelers. The only other strong team they played is Baltimore, and Favre wasn't looking when the Ravens kicker connected for the winning FG that sailed just wide; in Minnesota...

These two teams played the same game, in the same stadium, a year ago. But Arizona had already clinched a playoff spot. They played without interest, were blown out, and were humiliated 47-7 a week later in the New England snow. Now tv commentators were saying Arizona didn't belong in the playoffs and were a joke. That proved to be the turning point for the Cards. The rest is history.

Arizona and the points looks sweet here, but I would wait until Warner is 100% certain. He seemed ready to go last week until the last moment. Again, the bigger game is at the Niners the week after, so don't be surprised if Warner is kept out or plays limited minutes. A win against the Niners practically assures the Cards of a playoff spot. I think there's a real risk of them looking ahead. Larry Fitzgerald was asked about the game against the Vikings, and -how often have you heard this?- started talking about the next game instead...

    Not touching it.

I want to say wait and see on this also Dark Horse. I think they may want to let him play more against the 49ers next week. We will see how he feels on Sunday this week and go from there. I know the line makers don't know what to think here either.

definitely a close game. I thought minn controlled the game and pitt was lucky to come out with the win. The turnovers were just plain bad on minn part.
