Pacquiao is a great puncher... but not much else. floyd's defense can handle pacquiaos attack. hes gonna draw him back with the left jab everytime manny takes a step to get inside.. and manny's never going to be able to get close enough to launch that punching spree shit.

I think Mayweather is the better boxer but I feel like this will be a fight. They only have like 3 months to train which seams to little for the best fight in atleast 5 years, really more. I think Pac can win because of this short timeframe to study and train, being that he is the better fighter not boxer. I don't know, this is a tricky one, it is suspicious to me that this thing will take place with such a small training window.

I don't get when people say Pac won't find Mayweather. Even a bloated Marquez found Mayweather a bunch of times and he looks like cement hardening compared to Pacquiao. Floyd's defence is downgraded because Pac is a leftie. I'm a Floyd fan but I don't like his chances here, especially given the brittle hands meaning his punch volume is limited. The thing he has going for him is his jab and the number of times the much slower Cotto was able to tag Pac with it coming in. IMO Floyd is gonna be overwhelmed.

Mayweather doesn't impress me. He didn't do d1ck against Delohoya, while Pacman destroyed him. I think Mayweather will probably win, just running around like that DLH fight. He'll land enough punches to get the judge on his side. If he goes toe to toe with Pacman, Pacman's speed will be too much for him and he'll lose.

I think Mayweather deserves to be the favorite, but I think a Mayweather KO is less likely than a Paq KO, Paq Dec., or Mayweather dec. I think Floyd will be content to play defense most of the time, pop Paq with jabs and do some counterpunching. If he gets to aggressive I think he's going to lose the handspeed war.

I honestly can't think of a better full-fight performance. He looked outstanding against De La Hoya but that was largely due to Oscar being weight-drained and essentially a corpse of his former self. He looked outstanding against Hatton but that was largely due to Hatton being marginally overrated to begin with, trying to incorporate a new style after a couple of months with a new trainer, and his incredible susceptibility to get hit with a lead left hook.

Against Cotto, a (sure, arguably declining post-Margarito) top 3 welterweight, Pacquiao never at any point was in trouble. He gave Cotto the first round because he wanted to test to see if he could take his power, and then ensuring that he could, he took off and never looked back, winning round 2, knocking Cotto down in round 3, knocking him down in round 4, and then killing the fight off for all intents and purposes in rounds 5-9. Pac absolutely and completely dominated Cotto.

I've seen the fight 6 or 7 times now and I'm convinced it is the best and most exciting performance I've seen from him.

I don't say it was a bad fight, but there's no comparison to the one he had with De la Hoya, agreed, De la Hoya was not at his best and actually could've been better on his side, but he was already retiring and Pacquiao did prove a worthy opponent for the ocassion as he offered a great show along with his foe. In my opinion though, comparing Pacquiao at that moment with the Pacquiao we all saw vs Cotto would be an insult to the godly swift image we had from him on those two fights and the ones before, he may be more intelligent but we all like the show... Could've just gone back to his old hit-run style considering the tornado-like speed I always use to describe him and would've won the fight in 3 rounds easy, much more of a thrill considering the class of contendant he had.
