First bet today
I recently decided to get into sports betting. Today will be the first step towards a prosperous hobby. My first pick is the Jets -3.
Reasons for picking Jets
-First game sanchez threw 5 picks and fumbled(unlikely he will have such a poor performance again)
-Bills run D is bad and T jones tore them up last time.
-Bills got waxed last year in Toronto by miami
-Must win for jets if they have any hopes of wild card
Opinions? agree? disagree?
Lean Jets but Sanchez is shaky and hurt his leg last week, could hamper his mobility (his strong suit)
Buffalo playing well under new qb and coach, take Bills and thank me tonight

sorry but i think you lose your first bet. Bills +2 first half.
if sanchez doesnt throw a pick, i agree that they win.....neither are performing at a contender's level so i dont feel like giving up 3 points or even 1 point. the jets are way more well-rounded on both sides of the ball but we can not forget about the potential of the pass-game that buffalo is trying to institute. lee evans and T.O. will at some point be a force to be reckonned with. jets moneyline for me i suppose in a small parlay.......this game is really a stay-away, but just because its a thursday night game and i, like many will want to bet it despite the teams. several people here apparently also like the over.

Sanchez is weak, but I like the running game against the bills. OC took the downfield passes away from Sanchez last week, and I doubt he will get them back this week. Panthers shut down the jets last week, but bills D not as good. Bills playing a little better each week.
Personally I dont trust either team. This game as Under written all over it, so of coarse it will go over. That is my play for the night. 37 is ripe for the picking.

I got Jets tonight -3...all depends on Sanchez's performance, and if T Jones can get his Rush Yards.
Domestic - THE OVER???? I see it as either team Turns the ball over and gives good field position, then the team Kicks a FG, because they can't move the ball. I don't like the # 36, so I may tease it and take the under at 49.5

I am on the Bills myself, I have no faith in Sanchez to do anything correct at this stage.

I am taking the Bills tonight because they are started playing better with the back up QB. He is not too bad.

To be honest if this game is your first bet on the NFL I would wait until the weekend. Tough to cap two bad teams. This one could really go either way. But IMO I like Buffalo and the points. I think the Books set a line that is attractive enough to induce people into betting NY for all the reasons you stated. But Buffalo is a very tough dog and they are totally different team then they were 4 weeks ago.

I had 600 on the Jets at -3. I didn't think there would be much offense by the Bills, and didn't expect much from the Jets either(besides Thomas Jones) I figured I'd probably push, But I'll take the W.
