Steve smith a raven! Great fit, he seems like a raven type player

Hakeem nicks to the colts on 1yr deal, see if he can actually stay healthy

Smith fits the one step away from prison team well.
Nicks is a great pick up, if he stays healthy I think he is capable of a big year.

I think the Eagles did an under-the-radar good job of addressing several needs in free agency. Jenkins is a huge upgrade at safety. Carroll is a good corner to add into the mix. I don't think they expect him to start, but he'll be good to rotate in with Williams and Boykin. Maragos and Braman were smart picks to improve a shaky special teams unit ... these are those moves that often don't get much pub, but are big in the long run.

Would expect them to still look at a safety in the draft and probably as is their M.O. to look for more DL help.

The Jets have to be high up on the loser list. Let go of Revis and overpaid for Decker. Kudos.

Ep you like the sproles pickup? It opens things up for offense even more , sproles still has to be accounted for every time he's out there and he can actually return kicks which is somethng we've lacked for awhile. After that special teams debacle in the playoff game where sproles ran wild 50 yards down the field, you had to know change was coming. Glad wares out of the division too

Have no idea what oakland is doing. Whole franchise is a mess. Poor raider fans.

Bucs are puttin in work, team getting stacked again. Get a damn receiever now lovie

Like what denvers done. Like atlantas moves. Brandon browner to the pats is a great move. Now 2 excellent cover corners there

Edleman still out there on the market. Banged up nicks, old man smith, decker, even ted ginn all signed while edleman hasn't....surprised anyone? Teams not buying he can play outside bills system

Pats look like they actually have a secondary with Revis and Browner starting together after wk 4. Denard as nickel is solid.

Belichick is no idiot. He saw how SEA was built to beat DEN and took notes. Pats will own DEN this year.

    Indeed!

ESPN's Paul Gutierrez reports Matt Schaub is the Raiders top quarterback target, but Mark Sanchez, free agent Josh Freeman, and free agent Michael Vick are also on their list.

Two of the four, Schaub and Sanchez, are not even free agents, though that is likely to change in the near future. The list is depressing, but it is even more depressing that each of these signal callers would be an upgrade over the quarterbacks currently on the Raiders' roster. Oakland would be wise to invest in a quarterback early in this year's draft.

Darren McFadden's agent says his client turned down more money elsewhere to re-sign with the Raiders.

"We did have real interest from four or five other teams -- one offered more money," said Ian Greengross, McFadden's agent. "Darren wanted to stay a Raider. He felt like he still had something to prove in silver and black." It couldn't have been much more money, but it's a sign that McFadden believes he has the best chance to revive his sputtering career in Oakland. For now, he only has to beat out raw yet intriguing sophomore Latavius Murray for the starting gig. Rashad Jennings has signed with the Giants.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports free agent Jared Allen is threatening to retire if no team meets his contract demands.

As Sporting News' Ross Tucker quipped, "When your leverage is a 'won't play' media leak, it's fair to say your market is very disappointing." Per RapSheet, Allen "wants his market value, his fair salary," and "if he does not get it, Jared Allen is very much at peace." It's possible that threatening to retire will further sink Allen's market. Rapoport also reported Allen has a "ton of admiration for Barry Sanders," who retired at age 30. Allen turns 32 in April.

I love the Sproles acquisition. I know many question what Sproles has left - but for a 5th round pick, he should be a solid addition to Master Chip's offense and that's not a ton of risk. And he's another option in the return game that probably could use a little boost - but I think the boost might come more with better guys around the returner.

Exactly! I can't stand New England but adding Revis and Browner at corners, as well as Adrian Wilson if he comes back healthy, is a page from Seahawks book. They will own Denver.

Allen wants to get paid. At age 31, he's saying he might retire if he doesn't get paid. Will NE pay him?

Also seems Panthers and James Jones had a mutual admiration, but they can't afford him.

Free agent James Jones told ESPN's Josina Anderson that he wants to play for the Panthers.

"I would love the opportunity to play for the Carolina Panthers," said Jones, 30. "I would love to play with Cam (Newton)." A Charlotte Observer report from last Thursday stated the Panthers are "keeping tabs" on Jones, but his market has lacked buzz since. Carolina has serious salary cap restraints as long as Greg Hardy's cap number is sitting at above $13 million. The Panthers may simply not be able to afford Jones at this point in time.

Think Wilson is done and hope Browner wasn't just a product of system in Sea because he is not a young guy in NFL years.

Britt still has the physical skill set to be a star. The mental part is the problem.

The Giants are in the midst of one of the best off-seasons in franchise history. They have filled so many holes with so many quality players and such limited funds. Coming in it all looked bleak but Jerry Reese has been active and I am still not sure where this money is coming from as he continues to sign bargain after bargain. No one would agree unless they follow the Giants but he is the best GM in the game.

Defensive tackle Henry Melton to the Cowboys. Significant considering how bad the defensive line was last year...IF he is recovered from his ACL that is.
