Rivers is ok? ... Ok let me break it down for all of you people who have no idea about anything west coast. Drew Brees was set to become a free agent after 2005. The Chargers knew they were going to have to make a decision on whether to keep the young 1st round pick, or Brees once the season was over. Drew Brees tore his labrum on his trowing shoulder during the final game of the season. An injury that most players wouldn't come back from. Now the chargers had a choice: Give Brees a new contract, or trade a young 1st round QB that still had 3 years left on his contract. Keep in mind that Drew Brees not once led the chargers to a playoff victory. Now what would be the logical thing to do here? Throw money at a player who had a severe injury, or play the young 1st rounder who still has years left on his contract and has more upside down the road? Philip Rivers is a better QB that Drew Brees. look at each QB's playoff record. Statistically Philip Rivers is just as good as Brees too.

you mean the same Peyton Manning that is 0-2 against Philip Rivers in the playoffs?

Brees has a far better offensive coordinator and far better talent than Rivers does. Plus Brees plays inside which is extremely beneficial to a QB. That is what makes what Brady does at home so impressive. He sets all those records in freezing weather.

Brees and Rivers tough call both very good.

Brady is the best in my opinion. Manning plays inside for over half his games also so I don't think he is as good as Brady.

Rivers has the heart of a warrior. He fires the team up and will win on the road. I just can't see Brees winning on the road vs Vikings or Cowboys in the playoffs.

How are the Saints going to be on the road versus Cowboys?

laker they won't pavy was just making a point.

Although after seeing the pre game ritual Brees does to get his team fired up like Ray Lewis does, that impressed me, I didn't expect Brees was that tough a guy. Brees dances and screams and his team is in a circle around him, that is how the team fires itself up pre game. Pavy I gotta say Brees has a heart of a warrior as well. Rivers doesn't have the respect of his teammates like Brees does.

It was a matter of speech. Wasn't referring to this year necessarily. He is a home boy.

Philip is the man. When he played on a torn ACL against New England in the AFC Championship he showed that heart of a warrior.

Im sorry but how would you know this? I live in San Diego, and am a season ticket holder. Philip Rivers is the hands down leader of that team. His teammates absolutely love him.

Brees looks great but he has done NOTHING but put up stats and look great sporadically in his 9 year career...one playoff win...one more than Tony Romo... and in 6 more years !!

Not at all, and anyone who thinks charger fans would rather have Brees are the same dipshits who think SD "passed on manning to get leaf"

Marino never won a ring but is considered one of the best, Brees will win at least 2

I have nothing against Dallas and I am amused by the ridiculous Cowboy haters here, but I was just making a point, Brees has done nothing in 9 years but somehow he is an "all timer"...laughable.

Drew's a cool guy. I've met him and stuff. But no, we have the best quarterback in the league. So, we're are all set at that position.

Brees would been nice to have around as a veteran back up though.

Right now is the time to celebrate the Saints. By playoff time they'll be the rookies, and almost certainly will pay the price for having no playoff experience. So I'll take Rivers over Brees in the playoffs.

Rivers is not a maniac like Brees is. Even the defensive guys respect Brees. Defensive guys rarely respect a QB unless he is a real tough guy.

But like I said in my previous post, Brees has far more weapons, a far better offensive coordinator, and plays inside which all give him advantages over the situation Rivers is in.

Like I said in my previous post, Rivers and Brees are both very good its hard to say who is the best QB.

But as far as who garners more respect from his teammates, I have to say Brees. Rivers is a cry baby at times. Defenders hate that, even his own teammates.

Rivers is a total maniac. If the cornerbacks and the d-backs in the AFC don't respect him, they're on crack and they are going to get burned.

Being a 'cry-baby' is just his way of being a maniac. New Orleans has a better gang of wide recievers. But eventually N.O. is going to need more in the power positions to score playoff touchdowns.
    That's where they are lacking.
I mean, they can blow fools out in the regular season, but that really doesn't matter.
But yeah 11-0 is impressive (but not as impressive as 14-0, haha)
I have to say Rivers is a tougher, more well rounded quarterback. Brees just gets more yards sometimes in home games. whoop de doo.

Better recievers? Drew Brees made Colston and Henderson and the others stars.
