I love Matchbook for the juice, but sometimes you can shop the line and get a point or so. It always seems to me that Matchbook's lines move a few hours after the major books which I love

Does anyone know what kind of volume they have on NFL football? In other words, what is the most you can usually bet?

As with all exchanges it depends on the price. You will get filled near the money for a good amount, if you want $10000 upwards then you might need to pay more vig.

Having said that, the liquidity is on the up and up so you may easily get 5 figure and larger amounts filled by the time NFL comes back round at very competitive prices.

Hey guys... Talk me through the process of placing a bet through matchbook... I am just unfamiliar with it.. What I mean is let's say for example at cris... You click on the sport you want then click Cont. at the top right... Click on the box you want to bet on then Cont. at the top right... Enter the amount on the right and select from the drop down box next to the amount entered if you want that amount to risk or to win then click Cont. at the top right... Type in your password and hit enter... You're done... With this example how would it be done at matchbook..?

    Thanks guys

NFL a few dimes isn't a problem. Even with college foorball I didn't have a problem with some of my larger bets

Default Matchbook is now my top Book

I am moving more money to matchbook. I think they will be #1 soon and you can see the volume growing there. The spreads have gone to .01 in many cases and its only going to get better. AS an example : two days ago i wanted to take a favorite in a pre season BB game. It was 118 by 120. I put in an order tro get 10k done at 121 on the fav. I was filled within 20 minutes( and why not) Betters everywhere could now take the dog at plus 121 instead of the 105 or 110 everwhere else. Great for both sides.. i save 5-10 cents.

tight markets and liquidity on the rise.. by football matchbook will be the clear leader in the industry.

Major college football the first 10 dimes is easy. The biggest games the first 30 dimes are easy. The same is true for NFL games. The major NFL games 50-100 dimes can be done with relative ease. The markets get large, although patience is DEFINITELY required.

Exchanges are clearly the wave of the future for sports betting. How quickly the wave moves...that's another issue.

They really are not Ganch, all have failed miserably

Matchbook is part of one of the best books ever so the exchange their has a shot to become big and with the absence of lo juice books it really is a cant miss.

A couple of other things that make matchbook so great that are not so obvious but hidden under the surface:

    1. Their motivation is volume. They make money on volume. They dont take a position in the game. So this means absolute security for the bettor. There can never be a situation where matchbook takes a hit on a game or a season. They dont care how much you win either. So the only way Matchbook goes under is if their operating expenses get bigger than their volume brings in, which at this point is doubtful. So you dont have the usual worries about the book getting killed for whatever reason.

    2. Legality. Many well informed people believe that facilitating a match between two bettors is not covered under ANY current US law including the UIGA of 2006. Now of course this could be argued and tried, but it is one step away from a typical bookie setup. This might also mean longer term security for us the bettors.

This added to the obvious - lowest juice in the business (even with pinnacle) - and you have the next big thing in the offshore industry.
