Money Clip You bet the Saints tonight then you will LOSE!

Saints are overrated in my opinion. Patriots know they should've gotten the win against the undefeated Colts a couple weeks ago. They will get this win because they need it more. Patriots are #2 in the league in total defense while the Saints are #14 in the league. Brady should have a field day against this weak secondary. Bank it!

    Just for your guys info.

The Pats run a man to man defense and that's not what you want to run against a Saints offense. Shockey shouldn't be single covered! Bush will be single covered and that's a mismatch!! Colston will be single covered and he deserves a double cover. You also have Meachem and Henderson going deep with 1 on 1 coverage! The pats defense with that man scheme will get rolled tonight!

Our defense is very different from the pats!

We have a pressure blitz scheme! Brady will be on his ass a lot tonight!

Look there is no correct bet tonight in terms of who you like in this game. Either of these teams can win and it is hard to justify criticism on the other side of your bet. This is a very difficult game to call and let us not act on our own emotions of our personal bets that it is inevitable we are going to win. This is a pick'em in every sense.

Let's reduce each teams' schedule to opponents over .500 and see how they compare:

    Saints: 3-0
    offense: 9.21 yards/pass attempt, 4.0 yards/rush attempt, 16 offensive tds to 2 fgs
    defense: 6.57 yards/pass attempt, 5.16 yards/rush attempt, 7 offensive tds to 6 fgs

    Patriots: 2-2
    offense: 6.99 yards/pass attempt, 3.73 yards/rush attempt, 11 offensive tds to 9 fgs
    defense: 6.3 yards/pass attempt, 4.78 yards/rush attempt, 10 offensive tds to 3 fgs

As you can see, the Saints' biggest weakness is run defense, but the Patriots are bad at running the ball. Also, the Saints are much better at ending their drives with touchdowns rather than field goals, a big weakness of the Patriots' defense. On the reverse side of the ball, the Patriots settle for field goals too much (part of what cost them the Colts game), and the Saints' defense is good at holding opponents to field goals. The Saints will win this game.

This game is a lock for me because I already have three teams winning in a four team parlay, so tonight a have NO -1 1/2 for the fourth team of my parlay

So my money will be on NE for about 1/2 my winnings that I will get from my parlay

I have the parlay $200 to win $1700, so $900 on NE, quaranteed to make at least $700

Z, the Pats don't have a single defense they play... they adjust it according to matchups, and according to what's working and what's not. There will DEFINITELY be wrinkles in there for Brees.

I am not going to dis' the Saints at all -- they look like the real deal. However, I just think the Pats will have more answers for what the Saints do than the Saints will have for what the Pats do.

A lot might come down to the health of the Pats O-line. I'm waiting to see who is out.

Saints have played VERY WEAK schedule (31st strongest) and NE has played tough schedule (10th strongest). Who has N.O. beat?

Still not sure N.O. has a good defense, DB's are banged up, not sure they can stop the run. N.O. has elite offense, yes, but question their "D", especially against an elite "O" like NE. NE defense is not elite, either, but is strong, MUCH more confident of them than N.O.

NE is more experienced in big games, more well balanced across all phases of the game, better proven coaching (except for that 4th and 2 vs. Indy, I know).

Should be a great game, but I like New England to cover.

See my post above comparing how each team has done against above .500 teams. The Patriots have only played one more than the Saints. How are the Patriots more balanced? They have absolutely no running game, yet another reason why they lost to the Colts, because they couldn't close the game out and run down the clock. The Saints' defense should also have Ellis back for this one, which will be a huge boost for them. Saints will win and cover

I love how people think the Saints are so great. They should win tonight I mean they are at home with that big crowd factor and the greatest offense of all time bla bla bla. I would rather have Brady and Belichick then Brees and Payton anyday. This game should be a good lesson for the Saints for the playoffs.
