He is just getting pounded by everyone, I hope he comes back strong next year.

Maybe being too rich has also took some of his drive away. I still think he was a steroid user

He was too big and strong and never tired, now he looks skinny with no energy.

Any guy with a decent serve and solid groundstrokes can beat rafa at the moment. He plays stepanek and berdych next month who are both v good shotmakers.......hope he doesn't improve by then.

Guy gets too much pussy. He spends all his off time slaying young hot trim. No energy for tennis. Happens to a lot of top pros.

every pro athlete you see takes steroids. i'm sick of all the masses thinking otherwise. steroids aren't hardcore underground basement syringe deals anymore. these days, they come in all forms, you can get prohormones in pill form, GH, B12 injections. and most of these are undetectable.

not only that, but steroids aren't something you take everyday forever. you take a cycle of 4 weeks, you gain 10lbs of muscle, take post cycle therapy. then you stop them for a year or two. then repeat.

it's unreal how people think these athletes all work so hard for their millions, most are on steroids or other 'serious' supplementation.

Masu your right, no way they can play on such high levels

Nadal was like a a machine in the past and i think he stopped taking Roids with new policies coming

Federer never had his body change much over the years. He's just extremely toned, athletic, and works hard. You can tell Nadal has lost some definition and probably felt his body start to give out and ligaments get weaker due to what may have been excessive steroid use.

Your right CrazyLou. I think that is a huge problem with him right now. I sure think the guy is really hurting to be having this much problems. I sure can see him taking some time to heal up.

He didn't fully recover from a previous serious injury.

Of course he was taking steroids (EPO), but this is not the question - yet

He has not yet recovered from his knee injury, and given the pace he has always played it, he knee has taken a lot of wear and tear.

WADA implemented their new strict drug testing rules this year in tennis, and they're apparently much harder to dodge - the old rules were laughably easy to circumvent, and the only players "caught" were those who clearly weren't performance-enhancing (eg Volandri and his asthma medicine).

Quite a lot of the DuracellBunny players have lost a lot of stamina this year. Some will be a coincidence, and will be just injury. Some will never recover.

His knee is shot. Pretty much unrecoverable. Will never make it back to his best, at least not in the same defensive counter-punch style he's adopted thus far.

A B12 Vitamin shot is not a steroid. Its a vitamin and 100% legal in any sport, taken at any time I would think. Vince Young could be 1st and 10 from the 7 yard line with 30 seconds left to play, call a timeout, go to the sidelines, and get a B12 shot in the arm. It won't do him a bit of good but he can do it if he wants. He could also get sugar injections during the game if he wants.

As for Nadal, he is not really the type I would think that would take steroids but it wouldn't surprise me at all. He is a real country boy from a conservative family in Spain, but if you have the shot to be #1 in the world many would do anything.

I think he was biggest steroid user on the tour and he had to stop because of the new strict laws put into place.

JJ Nadals knees went, he's finished unless they find some way of replacing them.

He has no where near the strength or stamina he had a year ago...upper or lower body
