I think it will be close too - maybe Alabama wins by a touchdown or so but it will be tough!

Default Not that Anybody Cares.........

But this is my opinion I posted in another thread.. I am a fan that follows both teams closely. This is the way I see it....

am a Bama Fan. I expect Alabama will get Auburn's best game and best effort for sure, especially early. Auburn is heading for a middle of the road Bowl game and Alabama is competing for a National Championship if they win here and on Dec 5.

There is no comparison of these two teams, but being from the state I realize this sometimes has been a crazy game. I expect Auburn to hit Alabama with every thing they got early. This is Auburn's national championship game if you will.

Me personally. I bought Auburn early +12. This will probaby set up for a good middle bet opportunity. I haven't taken it yet because I feel I will get a better number at half to bet.

I feel Auburn gives them a good first half of football here. Maybe a tie at half or Alabama up by 3 pts, but close at half.

After halftime I expect to see Alabama's superior talent and depth rise to the top, late in the 3rd quarter and all thru the 4th qtr.... Kinda like the LSU game????LOL!! Couldn't help it ZBOIZ!

You may be right.... However, this is not the spot to go huge... Trust me. Talent and depth wise Alabama deserves to be probably a 13-14 pt favorite. There are other things going on in this game to consider... It's the Iron Bowl!!

You must havent seen what Arkansas did to them on the road. ALabama will blow them out, but they could just simply cover the spread also.

Auburn is 2-4 in their last 6 games, and one of those wins was against Furman. Their defense has given up over 30 points 6 times this season. Alabama's defense has given up 41 oints in their last 6 games. I do not see Auburn scoring much at all in this game. The line is basically frozen at Alabama -10. I do not see Auburn in this game after halftime. Their defense is going to give way. I think the under (46.5) is the best of the wagers here. 27-7 or something like that.

A workmen like performance from Alabama equals a three TD win. Auburn will have to play lights out. Who in the Hell has run the ball consistently against Alabama this season.

I'm gonna clue you in on why Auburn makes this a game. Gus Malzahn's version of the spread is not typical. Bama's defensive strength is straight up the middle of the defense. Malzahn's offense has alot of bootleg action which puts alot of stress on the edges as does the jet sweep action he incorporates into most plays. I know the 3-4 and I know Saban's version of it. Auburn's offense will actually put Alabama in uncomfortable situations.

The biggest advantage here for Auburn though is they run their offense at a fast pace. This is huge because Bama will not be able to make adjustments. Saban's defense has several checks. Now they will be forced to play to the original call. More importantly, Cody will get gassed by the pace and may get stuck out on the field on 3rd down rendering him much less effective as the game goes on.

Another thing to mention is Bama capitalizes on turnovers. Auburn's Todd has only thrown 5 picks compared to 19 Tds this year. Don't look for them to hand Alabama the football like most teams do.

The bigger question is how will Auburn's defense play? They have the athletesto play man and stack the box to make it difficult for Ingram. Can McElroy beat them throwing the ball? That is how they would have to beat me. Auburn has a much better secondary than Mississippi State.

Last thing, Bama has a big date next week. Even though this is the Iron Bowl. Bama has shown they are emotionally tied into the SEC ch. game (see Sugar Bowl last year). I give the mental edge to Auburn here. This is their 'championship game' and would erase their losses in their minds.

I'm taking Auburn and the points but bet at your own risk.

Pretty much what I have in mind also. Auburn should hang around for the first half, maybe even leading at half. However, I am not sure Auburn can exchange blows with this team in the second half. Time of possesion should favor Alabama big late in the game.

JJ Alabama has had trouble previously at Auburn. But this year should be different, Auburn has a poor rush defense and gives up way to many yards which should play into Bama's hands...

One thing to keep in mind is Alabama is not going to take this game lightly. They lost five in a row to Auburn before last year's win and are not in the mood to start a new losing streak. Also there is a small possibility Texas lose Big 12 championship game and a one loss SEC team will bypass a one loss Big 12 team in the BCS championship points.

i just don't think Auburn was ready to play altogether. Maybe they were already looking at Bama. This Auburn team is a little different than last years. Since they have won more, they have more confidence. In rivalry games, I'll take the dog more times than not.

Seer everything you just said is so true !! Bama defense last year could not adjust to Utah fast pace offense. And Auburn is simular but I do think Bama pull away late.

Pavy, actually we lost 6 in a row. Tubby kept making remarks about making it number 7. Little did he realize the 7 would end up being his loss record for the year.

Bama's gonna kick butt. Roll Tide gentlmen and JJ.
