Any made a bet last night at 5dimes on standard when they made a mistake with odds? They put odd 4.15 on standard and i bet. Today i got the message that is my account at holding and that i must speak with tony.
that Tony was so arrogant that you cant belive it...
    He close my account.
    just look this:

Tony: I assume you know why your account is on hold
    *****: yes
*****: so get this solve soon as posible if is not the problem
Tony: next time we have a bet from you on a line that is that clearly wrong, the account will be permantely closed
    Tony: that clear enough?
    *****: come on
    *****: its not my foult
Tony: or should i close it now?
    *****: i just bet
    Tony: AND I SAY AGAIN
Tony: or should i close it now?
*****: i didnt do nothing illegal or wrong
Tony: ok, then the account is closed

What a chicken bookie. I understand that is my bet void. But account closed? Come on....i withdraw my money and never again on such bookie...
That was just a warning guys...Take care...

That is typical everyday good customer service as dispensed by Tony on a daily basis. Maybe somebody needs to explain to Tony that you are not supposed to be wagering against your players. The way it is supposed to be done is you get matching wagers on both sides of the line. Then you take your vig for your profit. Now that wasn't too hard to understand? Was it Tony? C- Book at best

Hey, rookie. So this is your first post. He was warning you not to take advantage when there is a clear mistake in the future, but you could continue to play and wanted to know if that was clear. You decided to F around and say but this, but that, I didn't do anything illegal, blah, blah, blah. I like 5 dimes, and I'm glad Tony offers this type of book. It should be one of a few good books in your arsenal.

I only used 5dimes once using e-gold as a deposit method. it was all soooo easy to deposit, but when you wanted to withdraw... all the excuses in the world came in. They said that they cannot send e-gold payments to me unless I be charged with 15% service fee etc.

Fonbet should have a much higher rating since there are no e-gold problems on their site or any withdrawal problems for that matter.

5dimes is simply not transparent and does not deserve anything higher than D!

Ive been on and off with 5dimes for a few years now. I have never had one single problem with them at all.

Their customer service is great in my opinion, one time i made a wager, walked away from my computer returned 10 minutes later and made the same wager again on accident. I went to their live help and requested it to be canceled and they had no problem doing that at all.

Giving them a "C" is simply crazy, one of the top books IMO.

You bet Standard Lierge v Roselare at 4.15? Pretty much a reversed market...

This guy Tony seems like a jerk....that's enough reason not to bet with them.

Just play with Betjm...their CS is top of the line and the lines are the same if not better and their software is much easier to access. Yeah 5Dimes is not a professional book by any stretch of the imagination.

Why even list e-gold as a deposit method if withdrawal using the same method sucks so bad.

Yo, buddy. Are you in the plus from your wagering over the years? 5 dimes is a niche book for sharp players who don't follow the masses and bet on the most popular sports where the oddsmakers are also the sharpest. 5dimes is a great book to have amongst 4 or so other books. Tony just doesn't appreciate people trying to take advantage of his business when an error is made. Say you go to the cleaners to pick up your pressed suits etc, and the bill is always 40 bucks. They have a new rep behind the counter who mistakenly charges 23 bucks. Yea, there's a small % of people that would take advantage , a percentage that a business owner simply doesn't need for customers.

5Dimes is not a professinal book PERIOD!!! After seeing how this Tony guy treats customers I will not make that a book on my list to play with... I tried them a couple of times and they are for recreational players no questions... Let's get something straight here... he was rude from the start and if he would have some respect the reaction may have been differant... He sounds like a bookie trying to intimadate customers not a professional... AHY YO TONY!!! You can close my account too because if you put up a bad number I will break one off in your a**... He should have just void the bet and left it at that... If the customer does it again void it again... Is that so hard..? No need to act like a punk!!

I think you are missing the point bro. I said that this Tony guy seems less than impressive and his handling of these situations is a major turnoff. 5dimes CS is not very strong to being with despite their saftey and financial stability.

My point is this. I work hard for my money and am just not going to throw it to some book because SBR likes them. At the very least I will put my money, win or lose, in books that have shown me safety, financial stability, and very strong customer service.

Given the choice, I rank Betjamica considerably higher than 5Dimes in the CS category. Betjm bent over backwards to help me deposit money over the tournament even reimbursing fees I incurred. With 5Dimes, I had to wait 20 minutes for a chat operator to come and the fees would not have been picked up. Sorry until I hear more positive news from 5Dimes CS, I won't play there. And yes they are not a professional book at all. They are basically a square book masquerading as a sharp book.

buddy, thanks for your feedback concerning fivedimes...yeah, if there's a guy at the top that's arrogant and doesn't focus on good CS, I agree the book's not worth playing with...

    guys,
I am an active user and big fan of 5dimes. Tony is a jerk, no one denies that. But the bottom line here, one which many people forget, is that they always pay. That's the main point. Tony certainly has personality issues to work on, especially on how he handles customers. But if you look through the posts on this forum, i've never heard of someone not getting paid from them. That's all that should really matter.

True...but still for such a high profile individaul at 5Dimes to be addressing customers with such disregard says a lot about 5Dimes. All else being equal, I'll take Betjm any day over 5Dimes.

The bet should have been simply voided, no need to act like super jerk. Personally, I think the ones who take error odd lines are usually newbies. Veterans usually avoid error odd lines like the plague because they know that betting on them gives the book a free shot at them.

If the bet wins, the book will automatically void the bet. If the bet loses, the book probably won't VOID the bet and take the player's money. Beware of any books with obvious error odd lines that occur too often. Personally, if I see an obvious error odds line, I would NOT go anywhere near it.
