This morning when I woke up and checked my Neteller account, nearly my entire balance was cleared. The money was deposited into Ladbrokes UK, purchase-on-net.com, and one other site. I have contacted Neteller, and 2 of the sites where the money was deposited into. The people at Ladbrokes have been very helpful. They froze the account where the money was deposited into and the same thing has happened at purchase-on-net.com. Hopefully I will get all or most of the money back, but I don't think there are any guarantees.
I haven't used wifi for nearly a month, but I do from time to time use an Interent cafe. No one else has my Neteller information, so I do not know how this information was stolen. I live in Hawaii, and the ip address that was used at purchase-on-net.com was traces to Spain.
Does anybody have any ideas how this took place or any better safer options to keep your money online?

you're lucky if neteller gives you the money back....I heard many peolple say their account was stolen but neteller did not refund any because its the persons responsibility to keep their information secure.

A few years ago I had someone hack my PayPal account. That was quite a hassle and something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

Senator, did you ever find out how your PayPal account was hacked into? Do you still use PayPal?

No, I'm in the states and it was hacked by someone overseas. They actually made a few Ebay purchases with it using stolen ************ in different currencies. PayPal called me out of the blue one day and started asking questions about recent activity on my account because I hadn't used the account in so long and this new activity was done in different European currencies. I didn't lose any money in the deal, they just used my account to use stolen ************. It took them a few months to get it sorted out and I decided to close my account. I haven't had problems with Neteller yet and I wish you the best of luck getting this taken care of. I've been there before, you just need to stay on them and stay positive. Make sure they know you're not happy about the situation. That's the only way things are going to work out in your favor.

Stay away from Windows Internet Explorer and you'll have minimal chance of getting hack. ActiveX is what kills most online users. You'll start downloading crap without any knowledge of it and that's how most get caught up.

freebie- I've been trying to figure that out for months. He's one of these closet gamblers. He puts on his sun glasses and rain coat and walks quitely to the computer and places his bets. He then leaves the room and comes back in without the glasses and raincoat. He sits down at the computer again and starts posting nonsense.

I would say that the Internet Cafe you use would be chief suspect here. Someone could have installed 'Key Logging' software there
