Default Has Bet Trojan gone completely square?

I've been a little out of touch and I am looking for an update. One of my contacts tells me he just had his limits cut after 6 bets. This contact is just a rec player who line-shops between a handful of outs, definitely not playing steam. He won 5 out of 6 bets and was restricted. (Reminiscent for me of BCN.)

I remember Trojan announcing awhile back that there would be some restrictions but they were trying to spin it that they would still be a bit cool about things (for lack of a better expression).

Are they openly, strictly, winning-not-allowed now?

There's a fine line - and perhaps an indistinguishable line - between playing steam and line shopping.

Say you have the BT and Pinny windows open and Pinny has -115 for team A and +105 for team B. Trojan has -105/-105 for each team.

You know that Pinny will be spot on with their prices so if you take team A at -105 at Trojan are you line shopping or playing steam? On one hand you're shopping on the best price but also you're betting on a line which will no doubt change in the near future.

And for trojan specifically, they did say they were going to cut limits for sharps/steamers/whatever. They started doing it a few weeks ago and it would seemingly be a rolling policy of theirs.

I'd say it's less to do with winning per se, but betting on the "wrong" lines.

As long as they don't cut limits to less than $500 I am cool with it. Nice to have at another out that deals -105.

It sucks even more when you've got $25,000 worth of wagering left to do before clearing the bonus. I'd quite happily stick around there now I've got that cleared but $200 limits don't really do it for me. I might leave a small amount in there, though - they do have some very good lines.

Wow tacomax, shoot me an email. No guarentees but that's a pretty low limit and I'm not sure what acct # you are. We pay winners. We have paid many winners. We will continue to pay winners.

There is however some action that is not welcome here. Don't want to pay a fortune to watch Don Best go black.

I don't like the direction they are going. I personaly would recommend players stay away.

there a solid book, but just trying to build a square base. nothing wrong with that at all.

I think most books are going square because that's the way to make a ton of money right now. Why post early numbers or offer high limits and put yourself at risk? Places like BoDog, VIP, and WWTS are all square books and they're all doing really well. A book would be foolish not to copy them. Why put yourself at risk like CRIS, Pinnacle, or Olympic do? Unfortunately for players, being or becoming a square book is just smart business.

Don't care if they're square or round books. I'll keep a small amount in bettrojan. I will find out how much I like them when I make my first withdraw.

Huge difference between the two that you can spot in 5 bets or less.

Just for the record. We're not going anywhere. We have built a nice customer base and are getting LOT'S of action. Hold % still in our favor and being we have -105 that's enough reason to stay right there. We continue to offer 10% although we will be raising the rollover. We want to offer -105 and 10% to people that enjoy playing games and want a little extra edge. Wise guys are no longer an issue, bonus hunters are still taking out. No problems here at all. Hope we can help everyone with their playing needs.
