Default Flacco And Ryan Might Of Had Fluke Years

They both look real bad now and Mat Ryan getting worse. It Is possible they both played over their heads last year and are sub par NFL qb's.

Flacco will be solid, Ryan will never be as good as he was last year.

Both Manning's were horrible on their first two seasons and never led their teams to playoffs or winning records.

    Pavy,
You are, of course, 100% correct.

Ryan and Flacco "relative" struggles were as predictable as the day following the night. In Ryan's case, the Falcons played a fourth place schedule last year. This year their schedule is MUCH tougher.

Also, both Ryan and Flacco caught the NFL a little unawares last year. Now, that the league has had a whole season of film and a whole off-season to break them down, the league has figured them out to a certain degree.

I think both will be fine.

Favre is still bad. He only won one Superbowl. Same as Trent Dilfer.

LOL, Quinn just threw 2 passes in a row downfield 20 yards out of bounds and Gruden said you gotta keep it between the lines. However, Flacco and Ryan will go through growing pains.

the reason they are struggling is because they are playing tougher schedules than the year before

I didn't watch tonight's game (I'm not a masochist... well actually I am.. but not when it comes to football) but Joe Flacco looks awesome whenever I see him.

Defenses will force QBs to do what they do worst. With new starting QBs, it isn't always easy to figure that out right away. By season 2 and an entire offseason to prepare, some DC will build a system to beat a QB and the rest of the league will copy it. The best QBs are able to play to their own weaknesses or at least fix the ones that were most blatently exposed. It's a constant process of reinvention, which can be a tough adjustment process for young QBs.

I just think Flacco is slow of feet and will hurt him, you can rush him and and teams are starting to figure that out.He is is ok but he looks like he is struggling to score , he is lucky he has Ray Rice.

Lil sophomore slump JJ that's all. Think they're both legit. Flacco could be a stud imo. He has very few weapons to throw to on offense but still gets it done. Can we get some classics videos going again big JJ. You had me dying yesterday, wasted half my fukin afternoon though .

Jesus, they both had good years last year and struggle a little bit the next year and some people are ready to throw them to the wolves. Honestly, I think both of their problems stem from the fact that they are being asked to throw the ball MUCH more this year than they did last year. I think both of these guys will be starters in the league for a long time to come.

But I do acknowledge that Matt Ryan has looked pretty bad the last 4 or 5 games or so. He seems to be uncomfortable in the pocket and get happy feet, even when the pass rush is nowhere near him. But I think he will bounce back and continue to get better.
