Default I heard Gruden signed a milti-year extension w/ MNF!

I am PSYCHED and relieved!! Absolutely love this guy in the booth, didn't want him to go back to coaching. He and Jaws totally lift up MNF. I can even enjoy a crap game like tonight's with these guys' enhusiasm and knowledge of the game.

I couldn't watch Tony Kornheiser, and Dennis Miller was even worse.

Yeah I like Gruden better too. Don't miss Kornheiser.
That Hank Williams bit is getting a little stale. Just bring back the original MNF theme music.

Whose rooster? What's wrong with singing the praises of good players? If someone's underperforming, he says it, but he loves football so he obviously appreciates good playing. You'd prefer Kornheiser or Miller? Guys trying to be "funny" (and failing) the whole time? Yeccchh!!!

Gruden aint bad and is way better than Korn...Does praise a lot of less than stellar players, but I think he is just positive. Dude should be coaching Notre Dame though.

I can count the number of times he's criticized a player on one hand.

I like Gruden too but thinks he makes a better coach than broadcaster.

There are rumours he's afraid to crticize anyone because he doesn't want to offend anyone he might be working with when he takes his next coaching job.

The extension doesn't mean anything. He has an out to coach if he gets the right offer. He might stay in the booth for another season, but he'll be coaching sooner rather than later.

I was wondering that. I guess "extensions" don't necessarily mean anything. But I hope he decides to stay. Great coach, though, so he'll get offers for sure with all the crap coaching in the NFL right now.

I think Gruden has been really good. That was an excellent thing for ESPN to do is sign him to a multi year deal so no one else will get him.

I thought Gruden was a bad signing at first, but he has proved me wrong! He has done an outstanding job!

But he will leave when another good coaching offer comes.
