Notre Dame coach Charlie Weiss made remarks stating how the Pats and coaching staff had this planned should the situation presented itself, going for it on 4th down late, and that Bill has Everything covered in game plan, but hear this. If Bill and the Pats had everything covered then they would have let the Colts score immediately after the turnover on downs with 2 mins remaining, get the ball back down 1 point and then attempt to move down the field for the game winning FG. The Patriots defense could have easily let the Colts score instead of tackling and then cleaned up with a game winning FG. Whatta ya say? I don't believe New England had everything covered game plan wise. They acted on a whim from coach Bill and Brady and they didn't get the correct call because I think they got the yards needed for the 1st down. When the receiver is at a 45° in air he has the ball and the ball is past the first down marker.
