Default Marino's No. 13 jersey will be retired

Quote:
Marino's No. 13 jersey will join Michael Jordan's No. 23 in the rafters. Miami has no jersey retired of a Heat player.

Well I didnt even know the Heat retired Jordan's number. What the heck are they thinking? They have two players that they can retire in the future. Why pull this crap?

They should retire Zo to me along with Wade, although it would be a shame to have Shaq arguably the best ever to not be retired somewhere

Well if Shaq brings the Heat a championship, or just end his career in Miami. Im sure his # will be retired there.

The entire NBA retired Jordan's number. I think Chicago retired both the 23 and the 45.

Well Jordan revived the NBA, so maybe they should.

I agree.

The NBA needs another revival, though, and I don't mean another Jordan. Something about that league stinks. I think the "dress code" fiasco was a move of desperation by Stern, trying to copycat the hardline ethics of the NFL. I don't have the answer, but I'm not sure that a second coming of Jordan could even help that league. I think that brawl in Detroit last season is what finished the NBA for me. That's was just classless by all sides: players, fans, NBA brass, etc.

Now Dan Marino, there's a class act. I was always a fan of his, growing up. I was rooting for him to win a ring, but it wasn't meant to be. I think he kinda feels bad that he never won the ring. He's an NFL hall of famer, which trumps a Super Bowl ring, anyway.
